Valentine Mini Challenge: Day Five

 Valentine’s Mini Book Blogger Challenge

Well it's the finally the last day of Parajunkee's View, Valentine Mini Challenges and it's also VALENTINE"S DAY!!!! So to start off, I'd like to catch you up on what this Mini Challenge had challenged me . . .
Day 1 – Let us have it. Your Book Boyfriend List.  (And I mean all of them!)
Day 2 – The HOTTEST scene you have ever read in a book.
Day 3 – The CHEESIEST ROMANCE scenes or topics you have read in a book.
Day 4 – Love-triangles. The ones that worked for you, The ones that didn’t.
 Day 5
"Most romantic books you’ve ever read"

Contemporary Favorites

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)Crash into You (Pushing the Limits, #3)
\
When I heard about Katie McGarry's Pushing the Limits, it was all abuzz and I knew that I had to pick up her first and debut book "Pushing the Limits" Where I meet Echo and Noah, two very complicated life and all they wanted was each other to hide away from all the bad.  The first book also introduce Noah's closest friends/practically like siblings, Beth and Isaiah.

Dare You To was all about Beth's hard knock life and we also meet Ryan and learn about "On the outside looking in" The cover really took me away and there were the sweetest and most romantic rain scenes between Ryan and Beth.

Isaiah is the bad boy, we knew from the beginning he was deeply in love with Beth but they weren't right for each other. Rachel was the girl Isaiah needed and Isaiah was what Rachel need to be herself. Crash Into You was the spontaneous chemistry that grew every second that Rachel and Isaiah were with each other.

Katie's characters are describe as the polar opposite, Opposites attract that works . . . they were all my favorite Romantic books to read.

Another favorie of mine . . .

Gone with The Wolf

Gone with the Wolf (Seattle Wolf Pack, #1)

The Romance between Drake and Emelia was so heart-warming, it one the first thing I love about them. Emelia is this thriving woman who will stand for what's she believe in and Drake is blown away by Emelia's fierceness. These two have such amazing romance with each other, because they are soul mates. They complements each other in every way. One of my favorite part was the ending . . . Drake gives her a ring and she gives him the biggest news ever.

These books were in my "book" the most Romantic books I have read (so far)

Also Happy Valentine's day to everyone! Here's a card from me

Valentine Mini Challenge: Day Four

 Valentine’s Mini Book Blogger Challenge
Have you been following Rachel of Parajunkee's View Valentine Mini Challenge so far? So far we have discuss Our Book Boyfriends List, The Hottest Scene you have ever read in a book, and The Cheesiest Romance Scene or Topic you have ever read.

Today it the one we all hate and love . . . Love Triangles, The ones that works for you. The one that didn't.

Day Four
"Love Triangles, The ones that works for you. The one that didn't"

Kaylee and The Hudson Brothers

Soul Screamers Vol. 1: My Soul to Lose • My Soul to Take • My Soul to SaveSoul Screamers Volume Two (Soul Screamers #3, 3.5, 4)Soul Screamers Volume Three (Soul Screamers #5, 5.5, 6)
This Love Triangle actually works out better for the characters, which you don't see happening a lot because it destroys the characters. But when Rachel throws the biggest plot twister in Soul Screamers, not everyone saw it coming . . . First it was Nash and Kaylee the cutest couple, and you would think they be together forever but after My Soul to Keep where Nash has an addiction that completely tore Kaylee apart, it strained their relationship and it grew more strained when Nash ex-girlfriend Sabine comes along and tells Kaylee to either move on or accept his mistakes.

IF I DIE becomes the biggest plot twister . . . Kaylee's time is up and Tod was the first to find out and warns her and her dad. The relationship between Kaylee and Nash is still strained but Kaylee begins to feel that she can confide more to Tod than she could with Nash. Then it was Kaylee and Tod's first Kiss, that drove Nash over the edge and also crushed him because he's losing the one good thing in his life but he also believes that Tod had more of a role because he thought Tod was jealous. IF ONLY HE KNEW . . . IF ONLY HE KNEW.

In the end everyone got their happy ending, even if Tod had to wait a few more years for his.

Marc, Faythe, and Jace

Prey (Shifters, #4)Shift (Shifters, #5)Alpha (Shifters, #6)

This didn't become a Triangle until Prey (Book #4), where the dynamic changes for Faythe and the Pride. Having her ups and downs with Marc, she know in her heart that he's the one but she wasn't ready to step in that role that most tabbies is often becomes.

When Faythe's brother Ethan dies, everyone is hurt by the loss especially Faythe but also Jace because Ethan was his best bud. So what happens? Alcohol + Sorrow = Sex. Now you could say that Faythe and Jace were in mourning and Sex took some of the pain away but instead it's complicates the relationship between Jace and Faythe.

Ideally Marc is bound to find out but not in the way Faythe wanted him to find our and now She and Marc are on the rocks. Marc is furious at Faythe but also at Jace because he thinks that he took advantage of Faythe when everyone was in mourning over Ethan. Marc forces Faythe to make a decision before the inevitably war comes, and with wisdom of her father's words before he died

"You love them both, but you'll survive the loss of one. Choose the one you can't live without"
 ~ Faythe's dad (Pg 203)

Ren, Calla, and Shay

Nightshade (Nightshade, #1)Wolfsbane (Nightshade, #2)Bloodrose (Nightshade, #3)

Ren was Calla's betrothed and their very PG-13 chemistry  was right there, but Calla grew more and more attracted to Shay. When Calla struggle to figure out who she would be happy with, she runs out on her own wedding and saves Shay in the process.

Her pack is against her, the one she's suppose to lead but she also had to do what she thought was right, falling more and more for Shay. Ren is always at the back of her mind, when she finally get him on her side things gets harder for her.

Calla will end up losing one of the guys she loves, and she will feel like her world is falling down in the mist of battle.

This Love Triangle between Ren, Calla and Shay happens because Calla was used to having her life in precise order that she didn't think anything of it until she saw the dark side and the secrets that soon reveals that she has to take control of her life.

Finn, Tove, Wendy, and Loki

Switched (Trylle, #1)Torn (Trylle, #2)Ascend (Trylle, #3)
Okay I know there's isn't much of a love triangle with Finn or even with Tove, but Wendy did have a thing for Finn until he became too protective that Wendy felt suffocated. Then Wendy must marry Tove in order to become Queen but she struggle with her growing feeling for Loki, there's just something about him that she can't see as a bad guy.

Loki makes the first move on Wendy, he want her . . . he knows deep inside that he can give her everything she deserve, love, happiness, adventures, and him. When Wendy and Tove are married, Loki is sadden but he also is convinced that Wendy's marriage with Tove will not last. c

Wendy soon admit that she's fallen for Loki but is torn between her duties and her heart, which one comes first? Luckily Tove explains to Wendy that  he sees how Loki and Wendy are when they are around each other, so Tove wants to end their marriage that way both of them can have a happily ever after.

So that's my Love Triangles, I know I should have gone the simple route by choosing one but I like to pick multiples and some o these have different varies of a Love Triangle.

Valentine Mini Challenge Day Three

Day 2: The Valentine’s Book Blogger Challenge

Are you still following/participating? Great! This has to be one of my hardest challenges ever but I'm loving every part of it :-)
If you didn't see Day One Post click here, Valentine Day One
If you didn't see Day Two Post click here, Valentine Day Two

Day Three
"The Cheesiest Romance scenes or Topic you have read in a book"

To what level of degree do you decide if a scene is cheesy or an certain topic is cheesy? I mean I can be sometimes blind by what is cheesy. So this is extremely hard for me, as I browse my books that I have read for Cheesy scenes or topics.

I pick a passages from Before I Wake, where adults does the  "S-E-X"  talk . . .

Before I Wake (Soul Screamers, #6)

Kaylee's dad been through a lot in his life but the next worst thing to ever had happen was for Kaylee to be killed (You must Read IF I DIE in order to understand where I'm coming from). But now having Kaylee back, he is scared for her. He cannot bare to lose her again or watch her growing up too fast, since the relationship between Kaylee and Tod got more heated up after IF I DIE ended.

He worries that she and Tod are moving to fast . . .
"I know things are inevitably going to change, but I'm not going to pretend to be happy that the two of you were here, alone, behind closed doors."
"I don't really want to have this conversation with you, Dad"
"I don't want to have it, either, but yore kind of forcing my hand."
~ Kaylee and Her Dad (Pg 68-69)

 Two adults discusses about their teenagers, Tod's Mom & Kaylee's Dad . . .
"Tod and Kaylee are getting . . . physical,"
"They've always been 'physical,' Aiden. That's how this whole thing started, remember? With a kiss?"
"No, I mean they're getting intimate."
~ Aiden and Harmony (Pg 112-113)
Well that awkward isn't it? having your parents do the "S-E-X" talk, but also it's cheesy in a way because it's comes up at the most inappropriate times. Plus having two adults discuss about theirs children's growing hormones/physical

Valentine Blog Challenge: Day Two

Valentine’s Mini Book Blogger Challenge

After my nearly epic blogger fail yesterday where I read a fellow blogger Book Boyfriend list I was completely underwhelm. I added more guys to my list. . . if you didn't see my list click here, Valentine Book Blogging: Day One

So today topic is on The HOTTEST scene you (I) have ever read in a book . . . REALLY? This is beyond hard for me.

The first one that came to mind was with Hush, Hush (book #1) when Patch is with Nora . . . Alone. He lifted her up on the kitchen counter and kiss her, that was also their first kiss by the way :-)

Faythe and Marc rekindling their love in Pride (book #3) when Faythe was on trial and Marc gets exiled in a sense and is stripped of his status as a enforcer. The whole part where Faythe just can't let him go and teased but demanded his touch once again.

Loki and Wendy, in the garden towards the end of Torn (book #2) where Loki is there to be Wendy knight in shining armor but also to give her freedom from everything between trylle and Vittra kingdom. But also where Loki offered a life of adventures, and profess his love for her.

Ren and Calla, Nightshade (book #1) in the women's bathroom at the school, like really Ren? In the bathroom and at school? He was showing what life would be like once he and Calls married since they are betrothed but Calla was still have insecurity.

Drake and Emelia, the wine cellar at drakes Halloween party was hot but not enough hottest . . . The hottest scene was the office, kissing like crazy and desires grew quickly from there :-).

Daemon and Katy, either the whole kissing scene to wear off the trace of alien energy on
Katy that lead to a major make out session and a very poor laptop suffers the consequence but my favorite and most hottest scene for me was in Origin where Katy and Daemon are safe and really just went for it because nothing else matters, if they had only a second they would use that second the best way they could.

I can't leave out Kaylee and Tod my two favorite characters in the whole wide world, I love in If I DIE when Kaylee spontaneously kiss Tod after he did the best thing he ever could for her and the best part of it was that when Kaylee and Emma talk, Kaylee admits to wanting to kiss Tod again. But also the most sweetest part was Tod admitting his feeling for Kaylee.

So how about you? What are some of your favorite/hottest scene you read?

SassyCat Book Blogger: Day Twelve

It's day Twelve of Parajunkee's Book Blogger New Year Challenge, today topic is about the Plan . . . the Plan to gain more followers.

What's my plan to gain more followers? I don't have an answer, I get twitter followers every once in awhile but then I lose some as well. My google + gets some followers but rarely, I don't know if there's email followers and I have no idea how my blog is followed aside from twitter and sometimes on Goodreads.

My thought about creating a Facebook page, sits in the back of my mind but I'm just not ready for that step yet. Yes I guess I should take a big girl pill or something but I have to be mentally ready for it. I'll ask some of my blogger friends for advice on what to do to take this next step.

I rarely use Booklikes, I don't really care for it because for one it doesn't have an app.how can something not have an app?

So as of right now I don't have a plan about gaining followers.

How about you, what's your plan of action?

SassyCat Book Blogger: Day Eleven

It's Day Eleven, just only a few days left of Parajunkee's Book Blogger New Year Challenge. Today it's all about your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile. How many books are on your TBR pile? and how many are you planning on reading? Or how many TBR categories do you have?

Well I'm finally am setting a goal to read Series books, especially those that ended or soon will be ending, Right now my Series-To-Read stands at 51 books.

Have I started the challenge? the answer is NO!!!! I am reading some ARC books that comes out in February before I start school. The first ARC is sitting in my draft for review, it's almost there but not quite yet finished. I constantly try to make little changes or big changes to how I'll review the book. The Review summary is done 100% but not my MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW part.

My TBR pile altogether is at 665 that is including the series books but there are other books that I may not have added yet. Like my TBR can't grow any faster!

My head spins so much when it comes to books,  because there's so many! I'm obsessed with books, no not ebooks although they are okay but I like to feel of books and opening the pages.

Now you're thinking well what about this book or that book? you already deciated to reading series books but how about others that are just starting? Well yes they'll be included ot my TBR pile for this year and I'll managed to find time to read some of those new one such as
  • Snakeroot by Andrea Cremer
  • The Forbidden side of Nightshade by A.D Robertson (Andrea Cremer)
  • Wait for You by J Lynn
  • Frigid by J Lynn
  • Foreplay by Sophie Jordan
  • 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil
  • Not a Drop to drink by Mindy McGinnis
  • Replica by Jenna Black
 And so much more!

So yes I'll be reading other books as well, my goal is 50 books but I hope I can aim higher than that with all the books that I've planned to read. Yes I'm planning my books reads it will help me in a lot of ways, I'll be able to determine which books I can read during school and which books I can't until after the semester is over.

So how about you? Is your TBR pile crazier than mine?
