Book Review: Talk to the Paw

34623228
Inspired by the true story of a Portland, Oregon, cat who stole from his neighbors--and stole America's heart . . .

SHE'S PUTTING HER LOVE LIFE ON PAWS
Jamie Snyder is thirty-four and single but NOT ready to mingle. After suffering through The Year of the Non-Commital Man, The Year of the Self-Absorbed Man, and The Year of the Forgot-to-Mention-I'm-Married Man, Jamie's ready to celebrate The Year of Me--and MacGyver, of course. MacGyver is an adorable tabby with a not-so-adorable habit of sneaking out at night and stealing things from the neighbors. That's right, MacGyver is a cat burglar. He's still the only male Jamie trusts--and the only companion she needs . . .

BUT HER CAT HAS OTHER IDEAS
MacGyver knows his human is lonely. He can smell it. It's the same smell he's noticed on their neighbor David, a handsome young baker who's tired of his friends trying to fix him up. But now MacGyver's on the case. First, he steals something from David and stashes it at Jamie's. Then, he steals something from Jamie and leaves it with David. Before long, the two are swapping stolen goods, trading dating horror stories, and trying not to fall in love. But they're not fooling MacGyver. When humans generate this much heat, the cat is out of the bag . . .

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW
I was so excited when I got this in the mail from Regina of MEReadALOT, I saw the book on her Instagram and Instantly wanted to read it. However finding it in the bookstore proved to be a challenge and I was about to made the purchase online when I got the package from Regina.

This book was quirky and I love it! There were a lot of part that I laugh at and MacGyver doing his catty thing.

Honestly I wouldn't be opposed to an second book on this or something similar that involves cats playing matchmaking.

Book Review: The Darkest Star

First and foremost : Thank you Regina for sending me this book, I needed this book in my life.

I had always been a big fan of JLA's Lux series that features Daemon and Kat, I was sad that it had ended but I guess apparently fans didn't want this world to end. So JLA wrote a new journey, a few years down the road and new + old characters.

Evie Dasher was a new character for me, I was really intrigue by her. She has the similar traits that Kat does.

But not everything is as it seems.

Luc is a old character that people wanted to know more about so JLA finally gave us that. Honestly I don't remember too much about him from the Lux series but it had been awhile since I read the Lux series so my memory is sparse.

But Luc has his own secrets and his own past.

When JLA first introduce Luc and Evie together, it was clear to me that Luc knew her. I almost thought he was a hired bodyguard, but as the book went on there was so much more to the story.

Luc is almost like Daemon in a way but more lethal.

I enjoyed the plot of the story, I truly hope that Jen follows through with a 2nd book since this one is not done yet.

Book Review: Wages of Sin

Wages of Sin (Las Vegas Syndicate #2) by Michelle St. James

Max Cartwright finally realized he was in love with his best friend — and now she’s gone.Devastated over Abby’s flight from Vegas, Max nurses his loss at Jason Draper’s casino, desperate for another opportunity to take down the man who came between him and Abby. At first it’s a way to forget, but when his hours at the roulette table reveal a new connection between Jason and DeLuca, Max sees a way to disrupt their partnership for good.

And all it will require is a high-stakes heist.

Abby Sterling should have known it was too good to be true.

Hiding out on a beach in Mexico, she replays everything that happened between her and Max, searching for a clue that he wasn’t the man she believed him to be. Than Angel Vitale appears, telling Abby she was manipulated by Jason. Max was one of the good guys all along — and now he’s in trouble.

Back in Max’s arms, Abby is determined to help bring down Jason, the man she thought was her friend and mentor. Doing so means resuming her job at the Tangier and feeding information to the Syndicate, not to mention dodging the deadly mercenary Jason has hired to protect him.

When Max makes good on the plan to steal the money being laundered at the casino, old loyalties are pitted against new alliances. Now Max is forced into a confrontation with Jason and DeLuca — and Abby isn’t as safe as she seems.

MEOW MEOW MEOW
We're back!

Things get heated up in Wages of Sin, Max struggles with trying to locate Abby so he drowns himself in gambling and drinking.

Abby isn't sure who to believe, but she know in her heart that she loves Max.

Both Max and Abby are empty without each other, luckily they both learned to trust each other.

For Wages of Sin, the danger is just starting and Jason Draper is no longer going down easy.

I enjoyed Wages of Sin and I can't wait to read the next book to see where everything takes Max and Abby. Along with the other Mob Bosses, will Max take on the role of running Las Vegas?

Book Review: King of Sin

King of Sin (Las Vegas Syndicate #1) by Michelle St. James

Maxwell Cartwright just wants to have fun.

At least that’s what he tells himself as he works his way through every showgirl and high roller room in Vegas, burning through his trust fund and trying to forget the betrayal of his old friend Jason Draper.

Then Nico Vitale, head of the Syndicate, mentions the one thing that might prompt Max to action.
Max's best friend, Abby, may be in grave danger.

Abby Sterling is finally in control.

Breaking free of an abusive father wasn’t easy, but hard work, a college degree, and a job in the executive offices of her childhood friend Jason Draper’s casino has her feeling like she’s free of the past.

But maintaining her friendship with both Max and Jason isn’t easy when the two men won’t even speak to each other, and things get even more complicated when Abby’s relationship with Max heats up in surprising ways.

As Max’s ties to the Syndicate deepen, he crosses his long held line with Abby, taking her to bed in spite of his promise never to risk their friendship.

Now Max is in over his head, with the Syndicate, Jason Draper, and the woman he’s loved his entire life. The only way out is to infiltrate Jason Draper’s DarkNet poker game — and save Abby from becoming collateral damage.

Meow . . . Meow . . . Meow
In a new series set in the Mob boss world, but now Las Vegas bound. The city that never sleeps, gambling is the only way to win and sex is always a bonus.

For Max, he's got the playboy attitude. But that is just the surface of Max Cartwright, underneath that he's fighting an internal battle.

Abby rise above all the hardship and she's got a fairly decent life that she made for herself. But something is missing in her life.

What we see in King of Sin is the Syndicate trying to rebuild the world, tear down the corrupted world. They need Max because only he can bring down the corrupted.

And protect Abby Sterling.

This is a great start for a new series, I enjoy every part of the story and I love the best friends triangle.

That ending was a big big cliff hanger, darn you Michelle!

Book Review: Wild Card

Wild Card (Wildcats #3) by Rachel Vincent

Wild Card (Wildcats, #3)
Kaci Dillon is a man-eater.

She’s grown up on the fringes of shifter society, hearing the whispers. One desperate act as a starving, terrified child has made her the first tabby in history with no romantic prospects. But whatever. Eighteen is too young to get married anyway. Still, when she stumbles upon an opportunity to get away for a few days, who could blame her for seizing it?

Justus Alexander is screwed.

Confined to the South-Central territory, awaiting trial for crimes he committed as a traumatized, newly infected stray, Justus has discovered that the tribunal already intends to vote for the death penalty. He has no choice but to run. Too young to touch the trust fund that could finance his escape, he’s betting on a big win at the poker tables—until Kaci, his secret crush, catches him sneaking out and demands that he take her with him to Las Vegas

After a wild night she can’t remember, Kaci wakes up with a ring on her finger, next to a young billionaire who can’t access his fortune until he turns twenty-five—or ties the knot. If she can keep her hands off her hot, charismatic new groom, she can have their unconsummated marriage annulled. But can she really abandon Justus to his death sentence, just to undo her own mistake?

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW

We aren't too far from where Blind Tiger ended, and we are now focus on the not so young anymore Kaci Dillion. The Kaci we knew was a fearful young werecat, born with two recessive werecat gene that triggered her shift.

Now Kaci is a teen, with much to learn. But she has no doubt that being married young was not on her radar, until she wakes up with a ring on her finger to a man that is about to stand on trial.

Justus was infected by a werecat with the intent on framing Titus (his older brother) for the crimes, but Justus's actions still lead to large consequences. So he's running away but then Kaci convinces him that there's a chance to clear his name.

Throughout this book, Kaci has taken her knowledge of growing up in the Lazy S ranch and convince a few alphas that Justus deserve a fairer trial despite their bylaws.

We do see Faythe and Marc taking an very parental side when it comes to Kaci, but they do know that she's growing up and they're learning to accept that as well as this sudden marriage.

The Tribunal are face with changes, some are agreeing to the new changes while some are still set in the old ways. We learned so much about the Tribunal in this book similar to following Faythe's journey, but again we see changes happen.

This book was fill with all sort of elements that I enjoy.

As always I love Rachel's books and I'm so glad she's is getting back into the werecats world again, I have no idea who she should write next but I want more!

Book Review: Deadly Summer

Deadly Summer (Darling Investigations #1) by Denise Grover Swank

Deadly Summer (Darling Investigations #1)

Ten years ago, Summer Butler was television’s most popular teenage sleuth. Since then, she’s hit—what gossip sites just love to call—the gutter. Nearly bankrupt, betrayed, estranged from her greedy mother, and just about unemployable, she’s coaxed into that desperate haven for has-beens: reality TV.

Winging it as a faux PI, she’ll solve off-the-cuff mysteries in her hometown of Sweet Briar, Alabama. For added drama, there’s police chief Luke Montgomery, inconveniently Summer’s first and only love.

It’s when Summer stumbles upon a very real corpse that Darling Investigations takes an unexpected twist. The growing list of suspects is a big draw to viewers, but the reality is that Summer doesn’t know whom she can trust. Someone has written this killer new scene especially for her, and unless Summer gives the role everything she’s got, it could be her last…

Kindle Edition, 362 pages

Expected publication: January 9th 2018 by Montlake Romance

MEOW . . .MEOW . . .MEOW

I'm not a stranger to Denise's books, I found this one to be somewhat fresh from all her other books. Summer was the childhood stardom, but something happen and her career went downhill.

She took a chance in trying a new reality show as an investigator, although she has no background and no license. All the show needed was a made up story and her acting as an investigator.

The made-up story however lead to an actual case and curiosity takes over.

For most part of the book, I like the fact that it was an semi-reality/script acting type of thing/ Denise did well as being the "director" of the show/book.

The romantic notion of the story, sure it was a little long ending but I can understand from each point of view. She/he broke their heart, but when one still cares for the other it's hard not to wonder how far one will push to shove their feelings.

I enjoy the little twist between fake cases and an actual real murder case, I was glad that Summer took it in her control to keep investigating her first "not so fake" case because she knew in her guts that something was off from the get go.

I look forward to the next book.

This is a PEERRRRFECT way to wrap up part of the Mob bosses, but I have no doubts that they will make their appearances in other Mob bosses stories that Michelle comes up with.

Book Review: Through the fire

Through the fire (New York Syndicate #3) by Michelle St. James

Through the Fire (New York Syndicate Book 3)*** The final book in the New York Syndicate series featuring Damian and Aria ***Damian Cavallo finally has the love of his life back in his arms after a very close call. There’s only one problem; their enemies are still at large — and they’re wreaking havoc on New York.

Forced to enlist the assistance of a rebellious Syndicate ally, Damian finds himself back in Greece, this time to hunt Stefano Anastos. But when Aria insists on playing a part, Damian must find a way to balance his desire to protect her against her fiery will.

Aria Fiore has a secret — one she doesn’t dare share with Damian until their opponents are vanquished. Determined to fight alongside Damian for their future, she holds the secret close, knowing he would never allow her to be in harm’s way if he knew.

When they find out where their final enemy is hiding, Aria is more determined than ever to eliminate him — even if it means putting her future with Damian at risk. Their mission takes them to an exotic country, pitting them against the one man who has cost Aria everything — and forcing her to prove that love conquers all.

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW

Wow . . . I can't believe how much has change since the last book. Damian has Aria back after a close call. Now that everything has settle, both Damian and Aria are focus on finding Malcolm Gatti, but he went into hiding.

Aria is also hiding something . . . something so important to Damian, but she doesn't want to be locked up. Damian been working hard on hunting down Gatti, but at the same time making sure that Aria is safe.

There were pieces of the story I enjoyed. There were parts that many are saying predicable, but I don't focus too much on the predictability. There may have been more I wanted between Malcolm, Damian and Aria.

But overall this book did not disappoint me by any means. Plus that surprise ending!!!

I can't wait to read more of this world by Michelle and I can't wait to read Eternal love.

Book Review: Into the Fire

Into the Fire (New York Syndicate #2) by Michelle St. James

Into the Fire (New York Syndicate Book 2)All’s fair in love and war — and sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference.

Damian Cavallo would do anything to get Aria back — even join the Syndicate. Fresh on the heels of Aria’s rescue in Greece, he joins up with the other Syndicate leaders to take down Primo Fiore and his dangerous first-in-command, Malcolm Gatti, but Primo and Malcolm have aligned themselves with a new enemy: Stefano Anastos, notorious head of the Greek mob.

And taking down both armies won’t be easy.

Aria is still recovering from her kidnapping when she gets a call from the one person she has no choice but to love — her brother, Primo. Determined to help him in spite of everything, Aria sets in motion a series of events that may prove deadly for more than just her and Damian.

Then the violent turf war returns to New York City and Aria is forced to make an impossible choice — save the man she loves, save her brother, or sacrifice herself.

Kindle Edition, 287 pages
Published September 22nd 2017 by Blackthorn Press

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW

Into the fire delivers the right amount of action, betrayals, and of course the romance. Two months has gone by since the first book, and the stakes are higher than ever before. Damian promises the syndicate leaders that he wouldn't be involved with Aria, but you can't control love or fate.

He will do anything to protect her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, Michelle did not disappoint me (not that she had before). There's still so muck at stakes for Damian to take control over the New York Syndicate, but Damian's main priority is to protect Aria.

I think we all were lead to believe that Aria had no clue about what was really going on, but once she got involved with Damian she got a front row seat. While Damian wants to keep Aria out of the mix of the syndicate but seeing all of the other men's women take it all with stride has him wondering if Aria could do the same?

Aria is left with so many mixed feelings, worry about her brother's mindset and worry about Damian. But she knew that she had to choose . . . family or love.

That ending was quite something else . . . I'll be curious to what will happens next.

I give this Five Paws, I love everything about it.

There’s only one problem: now that I have Malcolm’s attention, I’m not sure I want to leave Hunter’s arms.

Again I have no complaints except that Snow should just forget about Malcolm because I truly like Hunter more, even before she slept with Hunter. Hunter seems like a good fit with her and was/is her best friend from childhood.

I give this four Cat Paws . . . again no complaint from Kristin's writing.

Book Review: Fire with Fire

Fire with Fire (New York Syndicate Book 1)

Fire with Fire (New York Syndicate Book 1)

Love is a battlefield — and only the strong survive.

Shunning his Ivy League education and the empire that was his birthright, Damian Cavallo found his place in New York City’s criminal underworld after the fall of the Syndicate. Reclusive and angry, he works alone — until crime lord Nico Vitale makes a compelling argument for the new organization’s far-reaching power. After hearing Nico out, Damian is willing to consider the possibility of leading the New York territory.

There’s just one problem: he isn’t the only one who wants it.

Aria Fiore didn’t choose a life of crime — it chose her.

Raised by her dangerously unbalanced brother, Primo, after the death of their parents, Aria had no choice but to follow him into a life of crime. She finds happiness working in the city’s community garden but can’t help wondering if she’ll ever get the chance to choose something for herself. Then Damian Cavallo appears — hot, brooding, and demanding Primo forfeit the New York territory. Aria has no love for the business, but even the gorgeous criminal can’t shake her loyalty to her brother.

As the rivalry becomes more and more deadly, Primo’s first in command is only too happy to goad him into reckless action. Desperate to save her brother, Aria forges an alliance with Damian that quickly turns into an undeniable passion. Now she’s forced to admit the truth:

She is in love with Damian Cavallo — and her real enemy is much closer to home.

MEOW . . .  MEOW . . . MEOW
The syndicate of New York has fallen . . . but the criminal world has gone out of control and its time for stability. Damian Cavallo didn't want to be involved with the syndicate, but two things happens. One he's the guy to do it and two there's Aria Fiore.

Aria hadn't want to know the deep dark things her brother is into, but she knows that he has his string pull by someone far more dangerous. When Aria meet Damian Cavallo, she is instantly drawn to him but she won't admit it until he became her savior.

The story of Aria and Damian is different from all the other Mob Boss stories, Damian wasn't about to let a women distract him but Aria Fiore was someone he needed. To cherish, to love and protect.

Together Aria and Damian walks a dangerous line . . .

I can't wait to see what happens next after that huge cliff hanger!!! Plus to hear all the places they will go.

I give this five Cat Paws. I love Michelle's writing and her characters, this story certainly has a different pace than the other mob bosses.

A Goodbye for now . . .

I'm sure you're wondering about the title of this post, last week I attended Utopia Con. It was Utopia Con's last event, however thanks to Janet Wallace she plans to have an 10 year reunion in 2021 or 2022. That detail is a little fuzzy at the moment but there's a vote out there for when the reunion should take place.

I knew a year ago that Utopia Con would probably be my last con for awhile, my life in the past six months has been incredibly insane. I graduated from my program and I had a few personal things going on, things haven't been slow.

Right now I will be spending the next five weeks studying for my certification exam and then I'll be job hunting in my field. Everyone wish me luck on passing my exam! I'm nervous and personally I'm not the greatest test taker in the world, so the pressure is more on me.

Once I get the PASS!!!! I'll job hunt and making plans to make trips down to Milwaukee to see my best friend who will be moving there to pursue her PHD in English Lit.

Yes I know there are plenty of other cons around, but to travel to most of them is near impossible especially now. I don't even know if I'll be able to attend the Reunion, that's nearly 4-5 years from now and I expect to be somewhere in my life by that time.

So a Recap from Utopia Con . . .

I love seeing everyone again, many have ask if I'll go to Penned Con but sadly I won't due to my personal life things. I'll miss not seeing anyone but I'll always be able to follow them on facebook and maybe even buy and read some of their books. I still plan on reading, but book blogging is not a thing for me now. I'll review when I can.

This time the con was at a different hotel which was much better than the other one, although they had a few hiccups but they manage the tribe very well.

I got to meet Jennifer L Armentrout (TOTAL FAN GIRL), CJ Redwine, Abbi Glines, Issac Marion who are pretty well known authors that started out just like everyone else in the Indie world. I've also learned a few things at some of the panels.

Apparently Wattpad been around for 10 years, I'd only just discovered it like a year ago . . . It sounds like many are considering this as a platform to share their books or what they are writing to get feedback. I'll be taking it into considerations as well for my writing, I have a lot of projects with almost two books completed.

I was disappointed with the Barnes and Noble because they were clearly unprepared, they only had three titles of Jennifer's books and she has like 24 published books. Even some of the authors I spoke to were like "They typically do carrying our books . . ." and I remember from 2014 that they did carry some of the authors that have books in their stores.

I met some new people and made a few friends, I don't know I felt more of an introvert this time around maybe because it's been three years. I don't titled myself as a blogger anymore not always and I'm simply reading for the enjoyment.

I love meeting Shannon Mayer and having lunch with her, apparently I'm not the only one that wanted all of her books.

Out of all the time to be in Nashville, it had to rain. It wasn't like rain or sprinkling . . . it was downpour, sideswept rain . . . rain. BUT at least it was warm rain and not cold like we get, so that was something different.

The Utopia awards was probably the most funnest thing I saw, Michelle G. Miller started a line dancing to Lady Gaga's Poker face, even an author in heels tried to keep up but ended up tripping (I hope you didn't break your ankle whoever it was!!). CJ Redwine and her husband Clint were amazing! and Beth Crowley is an amazing singer and pianist.

Until next time . . .

Review: Edge of Regret

Edge of Regret( Love on the Edge #7) by Molly E. Lee

Edge of Regret (Love on the Edge #7)

Leading man on the new E.D.G.E. series reality show? Check.

Stunt-double for the star in the latest, multi-million-dollar funded military movie? Check.

Work with a sexy female military expert? Holy hell, check.

When I signed on to do stunts for Hollywood’s eagerly awaited war-thriller, I thought it would be like every other gig—go in, try not to get killed, and leave with a fat check and an adrenaline rush. This time? Not so much.

Mackenzie Patterson is the on-set expert. She knows topographical layouts, government lingo, speaks four languages, and is one of the best explosive disposal leaders the Air Force has ever seen, so she’s more than qualified.

She’s also the woman who turned my teenage heart to ash.

I can’t ignore the darkness that has appeared in her eyes, or the urge I have to take it away.

Quitting isn’t an option, but the more I see her, the more I want to make her mine. And that can never happen because our past is twisted with heartbreak, hate, and regret.

Every second I spend with her is a battle between holding on to the anger in my heart—and giving in to the love that never left.
Published (first published June 20th 2017)

MEOW . . .  MEOW . . . MEOW

Edge of Regret is a powerful love story that got my heart racing. Reading Wade and Mackenzie's story is like none others from Molly usually writing. At first I thought we were diving into an High school sweetheart romance, but then it was just the beginning of where Wade and Mackenzie started and the shattered hearts begins.

Fast forward to 10 years, Wade is the thrill rider, risk your life stunt man. Mackenzie joined the Air Force, became the best expert on the job until tragedy happens. Now Mackenzie is force to take time off but meanwhile jumped onto a movie project.

Neither one of them expected to run into each other again, not after what happens the last time they came across one another. Both of them live in regret, Mackenzie more so than Wade, however when Wade realizes just how much Mackenzie needed him to pick up the pieces and hold her together. He was right there.

For Edge of Regret deals with choosing a path, making a decision not based on your heart but your head.

I give this Five Cat Paws; I adore Molly's writing and this one stood out from all her other Love on the Edge characters. Edge of Regret is about finally following your heart and not your head, taking care of the one life you have and spending it with the love of your life.

Review: Snow White Werewolf Tale

Snow's Seduction ( A Snow White Werewolf Tale, #1)

Snow's Seduction
Hair black as a raven’s coat, skin as white as snow, lips as read as, blabitty-blah, blah, blah. If one more person calls me sweet and innocent, I’m losing my head.

I’ve got more pressing matters to think about. Like the fact that our wolf pack is in serious debt. If I can’t find a way to secure financing for our estate, we’ll lose our shifting sanctuary. My stepmother—wonderfully wicked as she is—has come up with a plan: seduce a rich jeweler who’s visiting for the weekend. And then, when he agrees to bond with me and make me his forever, we’ll be saved. Not such a bad deal, considering he’s crazy hot, and I’ve had a crush on him forever.

One problem: I’m not a temptress, not by a long shot. It’s a good thing my childhood best friend, Hunter, has come back into the area. He’s always been a playboy and knows how to get what he wants. He agrees to teach me the rules of seduction, but before long, I realize I'm the one being played.

Mirror, Mirror, on the wall . . .

For Snow becoming 25 years old means that she'll be declared alpha of her pack in the Pacific Northwest. She has it all planned out, and got her eye on the intended prize.  However Snow is side struck by an old friend, Hunter. Then that is all she can think about . . .

But Snow should be keeping her eyes on the pride, the one that can help save White Estate. But for the life of her she's instantly drawn to Hunter. Even though it been years since she last see him.

For me Snow is a nervous wreak for trying to seduce a guy that she clearly has no true attraction to, I believe that Hunter is her true mate.

What my thoughts on Hunter is that he's have always like Snow, even though they always had that friendship boundary. I look forward to seeing what happens next!

I give this 4 Cat Paws . . . I love Kristin's Writing.

ABOUT ALL CLOSED OFF (Releasing May 1, 2017):

Stella Santos is fine.

Maybe something terrible happened to her that she can’t even remember. And maybe it drives her crazy when her friends treat her like she’s on the verge of breaking because of it. Maybe it feels even worse when they do what she asks and pretend that it never happened at all. And maybe she’s been getting harassing emails and messages for months from people who don’t even know her, but hate her all the same.
But none of that matters because she’s just fine.
For Ryan Blake, Stella was always that girl. Vibrant and hilarious and beautiful. He wanted her as his best friend. His more than friends. His everything and anything that she would give him. Which these days is a whole lot of nothing. She gets angry when he’s there. Angry when he’s not there. Angry when he tries to talk and when he doesn’t.
When Stella devises an unconventional art project for one of her classes all about exploring intimacy—between both friends and strangers—Ryan finds himself stepping in as guinea pig after one of her subjects bails. What was supposed to be an objective and artistic look at emotion and secrets and sex suddenly becomes much more personal. When he hits it off with another girl from the project, Stella will have to decide if she’s willing to do more than make art about intimacy. To keep him, she’ll have to open up and let herself be the one thing she swore she’d never be again.
Vulnerable.

Book Review: The Daughters of Maine

The Daughters of Maine (Witches of BlackBrook #2) By Tish Thawer

The Daughters of Maine (Witches of BlackBrook, #2)

Through space and time, sisters entwined. Lost then found, souls remain bound.

After being reunited in the present day, three sister witches are forced to separate once more in an effort to save their newly formed coven and themselves.

Foes from their past now threaten their future, and a trip that spans centuries is their only hope of survival. Chasing their enemy back through time seems like the right choice, but will walking in the footsteps of their previous lives provide the answers they seek?

Only time will tell.

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW
I was SO SO excited that TIsh went on to write another book! I have always felt that the Witches of Blackbrook's journey was not over yet. The Sisters have finally been reunited but now there's something that is unbalance. The magic is disrupted.

The sisters have finally and truly found each other after years and time have passed. They thought they defeated the great evil but now things from their past lives are starting to turn up. I LOVE what Tish did by bringing in a little ancestry to this book, it seems that everyone nowadays are searching their ancestors (Believe I am one of them). It was neat to see who the sisters were in the past when they were apart, to see what kind of life they each lived. They almost basically have the 9 Live of Cat years.

But I guess now from this book, we're heavily focused on Trin only because of how the first book was laid out. If you haven't read the first book, then you probably shouldn't be reading this review.

This time we're focusing on seeing these sisters try to reform their bond, after so many life years apart. It's clear that it's a learning curve until Trin's premonition grows darks, heeding a warning. The warnings of the past, including the great evil.

They learn that the evil is seeking a way to obtain it's magic again but also try to banish the sisters' magic. How to do that? Go back in time.

But going back in time, reveals secrets and reveals loop holes that could change everything in the present. Can Trin, Caris and Kennedy save their pasts or will the pasts get to them?

I give this 5 Cat Paws, Truly this was an amazing book, I am thrilled that this book came out and that I had the chance to read it. I can't wait for the next book.
