SassyCat Book Blogger: Day Nine

There's a few cons and there are for sure Events that I would love to attend!

Cons:

Well believe it or not, LOCATION . . . LOCATION . . . LOCATION!!! IS one of my biggest cons, I live in the Midwest area, particularly Wisconsin but closer to Minnesota (Make sense?). I know some of you might have that same problem but I find it very difficult because not all of the big name Authors that I hear and follow come far up North.

Are there solutions to this con? Well not really because I can't tell authors where to go, they go where the publisher sends them and they want to hit more of the larger cities than small tri-states cities.

I Could move . . . maybe not right now but I have always thought about living in a warmer climate but not until much later in the future.

Flying or driving? That alone cost money plus hotel and such, and I'm not made of money not many of us are.

EVENTS I WANT TO GO!!!!
I've heard so many events and deeply wishing I could attend all of them!
  • BEA (I could potential attend this one when it's in Chicago, I have relatives near Chicago so it could work. But it at least 3 more years before it come to Chicago)
I do participate in the BEA Armchair, and I found it a lot of fun just doing it over the internet. I even gave the ladies some ideas of topics to talk about for this year Armchair BEA. I hope they plan to use some of my topic suggestions, if not that's okay.
Some other events, that I could potential go if I had the money and time to do so.
  • YALL FEST
  • AUSTIN BOOK FEST
  • HUSTON BOOK RAVE
  • RT BOOKLOVERS CONVENTION
And so much more!!!

UTOPYA CON
This summer June 2014, I'll be attending UTOPYA, first-of-its-kind convention for women writers of supernatural YA and NA fiction, and their fans!

I really can't wait so many of my blogger that I've connected through Twitter and finally meet a lot of authors especially one because I've been a huge fan of her books and her way of approaching self-published books.
