Book Review: Cold Blood

Cold Blood (Dirty Blood #2)

by Heather Hildenbrand

Cold Blood (Dirty Blood #2)Wood Point Academy is not at all what I expected. For one thing, it looks like a cross between military school and Buckingham Palace. Everyone stares, the floors shine so bright you can see your reflection in them from a mile away, and no one smiles. Unless they're kicking your butt in the process.

At least I've got plenty to take my mind off the fact that my psycho cousin, Miles De'Luca, keeps calling and declaring his love and promising to come for me just as soon as he's destroyed anyone standing in our way. Wes isn't going to like that idea. So between Miles, Wood Point's evil welcoming committee, and the drill sergeant hottie trainer from hell, I just keep asking myself, how did I end up here?

Review
Being the new girl at a new school isn't easy but it's much worst when that students at this new school are all hunters. With an nurture & nature hatred towards werewolves.

Her mixed DNA that makes her a target . . .

Tara must learn everything about the hunter side of her  . . . whether she like it or not

Troubles are stirring but training is a kick in the butt for Tara.

Miles is still out there claiming there is a bigger plan in mind than what the hunters and werewolves should be worry about.

Can Tara prove herself worthy of being a hunter . . .

Or will something else take over?

I give this a 4 Cat's Tails Up, Overall I like this book. I think there were something that could have made it even better however it was a nice setup and broad horizon to Tara's future training. Plus a NEW Guy to drool over.

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW

Poor Tara, she has to make such an adjustment to normal school straight to academy training for elite hunters. It worst when she is called names because of her mixed blood, but what little do they do is the political influence her family name truly represent.

Logan and Cambria:
I love these two as a friend for Tara, she certainly needed one or two after all the criticizing Tara getting from the rest of the school. Some that were scared to be near Tara, some that were making jabs at Tara for her mixed blood but not Logan or Cambria, although it took Logan a while to warm up but Cambria was best friends on the the spot.

Alex vs Wes
Okay I know Wes is Tara's boyfriend but with his lack of appearance in the book even though Tara is at a school. It showed that Wes is too conflicted with his duties and trying to maintain a relationship of a destiny that Vera saw that probably put him on edge.

Now ALEX he's hot like he's a hot character to read,at first I wasn't so sure about him until that first kiss THEN I knew something was up! Honestly I like Alex like really really LIKE, I actually hope that he would possibly be Tara's new beau just because there's chemistry between them and you can't deny chemistry.
His past is really tragic and I'm surprise that he would share something so personal to Tara and I wonder just how much he likes her despite her "DNA" that everyone judges her on.

KISS TALLY
Alex: 2 and 2 near kisses
Wes: 2
Really Heather? is that just a coincidence that there wasn't more kissing between Alex and Tara over Wes and Tara?

More Meowing Meow
I'm not sure how much political aspect that Heather will put in as far Tara's future in the series, but I hope that it's not too heavy to determine where she wants to stand. As far the new guy in the picture I say bring him on!

What will be the new threat that both Hunters and Werewolves need to worry about and once they figure it out, will it be too late?

Will Tara date Alex???????

What will Wes do . . .
