Synopsis
Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…

Very Wicked Kiss

"Her kiss can kill"

Michelle Rowan the author of Nightwatchers, she created a world where angels and demons must work together to stop a great evil.
I first read her first book "Dark Kiss" back in August 2012 and became completely addicted to the story. I've read books that were "Angels/Demons" concept but Michelle created a twist in her world and that involve with a kiss.
I had the pleasure to get an early read on the second book "Wicked Kiss" provided by Netgallery and it was a fun read.

Wicked Kiss (Nightwatchers, #2)MY KISS CAN KILL.

I used to be ordinary Samantha Day, but that's changed. Now, after one dark kiss from a dangerous boy, I can steal someone's soul...or their life. If I give in to the constant hunger inside me, I hurt anyone I kiss. If I don't...I hurt myself.

Bishop is the one whose kiss I crave most, but if I kiss him, I'll kill him. Then there's another boy, one I can't hurt. One whose kiss seems to miraculously quell my hunger. They're both part of a team of angels and demons that's joined forces in my city to fight a mysterious rising darkness, an evil that threatens everyone I know and love. I just wonder if I'll be able to help Bishop-or if I'm just another part of the darkness he's sworn to destroy....
NIGHTWATCHERS
When angels and demons must work together, something beyond evil is rising...

The Review:
Samantha, Bishop, Kraven and the rest of the crew are back! But Trinity still is barricade and things are about to get worst for Trinity. The hunt for Stephan who "supposedly" has Samantha's soul after he gave her a deadly kiss in "Dark Kiss" While Samantha adapt to being a "Grey" the one thing she hunger for is a kiss and a soul, but more importantly Bishop.
Yes Bishop appears to have a soul, Bishop struggles with the emotions he has for Samantha but is determine to save her soul (if he can track down Stephan).
Meanwhile, the only solution so far for Sam is that Kraven Bishop's brother to kiss her to ease the hunger. Oh Yes there was quiet a few kisses between Kraven and Sam, but Sam isn't just a "Grey" Bishop believes she is a Nexus (half demon, half angel) because she can see the "light" for fallen angels/demons. While no one really knows what she is that secret will soon be reveal.
Stephan warns Sam about "Statis" an life/death phase that every "grey" is going through. Stephan warns that she must survive the transition in order to live but if she doesn't . . . she dies.
Then to make things more complicated, an Angel is sent down to help the team but things get even worst for the crew. Young teens are dying and souls are passing on because of the barrier that surrounds Trinity.
Sam uncovers some horrid truth about Bishop and Kraven, then she comes face to face with the greatest threat of all.
Sam will make the ultimate choice, will she chosen to save Trinity and the people she loves or will temptation be too strong to resist?
The second book was filled with many twists that made me gasp and have jaw-dropping moments. But in the end I wonder will Trintiy ever be saved?

Ramble:
I was pleasant with the book, there were many twist factors that I thought would make the book flow with the storyline. I'm sure Michelle knew how things were going to pan out for Samantha and put Samantha in a position where she be the greater person. As much Bishop is Samantha's lover, I really like Kraven and I believe that Kraven denys his feelings he has for Samantha because of his brother Bishop. The two were alway at odd ends and their past explains it, but still Kraven is willing to say things about his human life and Bishop isn't. Is Bishop guilty? Or does it have to do with who he is to Heaven that he won't say anything. Sam really became a strong individual, she couldn't be selfish at times where some people would be and she face the most powerful person of all.

Currently Reading

"This is the future, and humanity is all but extinct"

Any guess on what I am currently reading? How about another hint . . . The Movie comes out March 29th, 2013.
Still guessing? Well then how about this . . . This is the Author of the Twilight Saga.

There you go! *Applauses* Yes! It's Stephenie Meyer's Science Fiction/Romance/Young Adult Novel

"The Host"

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

Featuring what may be the first love triangle involving only two bodies, The Host is a riveting and unforgettable novel that will bring a vast new readership to one of the most compelling writers of our time.

Yes I know the book been out since 2008 and I'd probably haven't purchased the book til sometimes in 2009. I am a huge fan of her Twilight series and was pleased with the movies as well, but WHY did I wait so long to read Meyer's other book?

Well the fact is I had other books to read and I don't normally read Science Fiction books because I get confused then the book isn't an enjoyment for me. I made a promise to my best friend that I would read the book before we go see the movie, so that is what I'm doing.
Only 36 days till the movie comes out and I hope that the movie is just as good as the book, I strongly believe right now that they picked a good cast with Saoirse Ronan playing Melanie and Wanda, Max Irons portraying Jared Howe and Jake Abel portraying Ian O'Shea.

Ramble Phase:
I'm sure many were confused in the first couple chapters and I was too, but then I started getting into the groove of the story.
Wanda and Melanie have to work together as one to find the Human resistance, however Melanie would never help an Alien that took over her body and mind. But Melanie's feelings, emotion and memories grows on Wanda whome she begin to feel like human does. Now in the middle of Nowhere Wanda/Melanie come face with the human resistance and old friends, taken to a secret location and just about everyone wants nothing to do with Wanda/Melanie except to kill. Yeah that really didn't work out as plan and I didn't expect it to because if it did then there wouldn't be a story or the love story.
Jared Howe found the love of his life Melanie until he sees that a Alien or "Soul" has taken over her body. Confused and irrational, Jared didn't know how to response . . . he know that he should end the toture now by killing her but something inside him tells him not to.
Then we meet . . .
Ian O'Shea who seems to be on the wrong kind of right, he knows not to trust Wanda or the "Soul" but the more he watch her and interact with her, he sees what most don't see. Wanda develop human-like persoanlities and is unlike the others.
That is all I can say because I'm just half way there . . . I have to say I like this book better than Meyer's Twilight Saga, I find it better written and more thought out. She created a dynamic that is unusual and she created a world where I think is plausiable. Yes I did say "Plausiable" because there could be others out there, there some proof or "rumored" proofs but it could happen.

Here's the Movie Trailer:
If you want to know the song . . . it called "Radioactive" By Imagine Dragons
