Book Review: Origin

I'm sure by now everyone has read Origin, however some of you may have not either because its not out yet or you haven't gotten permission to buy a book.

Do note that Origin is NOT the last book . . . Jennifer/Lynn have clarify that when people were starting to wonder if Origin was truly the last book. The epic and final conclusion to the Lux series will be called Opposition  and it will be release sometime in 2014. I know you hate the wait, but there's more to look forward . . . if you follow Jennifer/Lynn on her blog there's been some great announcements.

So now moving forward,

ORIGIN (Lux #4)

Origin (Lux, #4)Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

I was so epically dying to read this book after Opal, and I even had a book chat with the lovely Mindy Ruiz as you may know her from her blog http://www.mindyruiz.blogspot.com or on FB she is super friendly and we just both happen to be in the Daemon world at the time.

Here's the Trailer of Origin

Ahem . . . time to review and MEOW about Origin!

REVIEW
Katy and Daemon has been inseparable until now . . . things went downhill while breaking into Mount Weather.  Now Katy and Daemon are both suffering the greatest pain they ever encountered.

On two different side of the States, Katy thought there was no end . . . believes there were no hope. Daemon would burn down the world to find her, even if that meant turning your back on your community and the elders.

Nothing matters to Daemon . . . the only thing that matter was Katy and he was determine to find her . . . at any cost.

Area 51 does exist but Katy's fate will be far greater than she thinks, sacrifice will  be made, lives will be lost and a new species will rises.

It another bundle of kittens for this one, this was truly a perfect mixture of love and sacrifice. The love that Daemon has for Katy increased since the moment she was out of his grasp and would do anything to save and protect her.

Meow . . . Meow . . . Meow
Oh my gosh, I just couldn't believe how Opal ended and I was so very curious if Jennifer was going to do a two POV for Origin because both Katy and Daemon were not right next to each other for dialogs. It the same old rumor people believes, Katy and Daemon took off together like they assume with Dawson and Beth . . . NOT EVEN CLOSE. Katy and Daemon both were in their living hell, the DOD, Arums will stop at nothing to figure out just how powerful Daemon is and how stable Katy is with the mutation.

Katy was put through the test of her own sanity and her own will, she's been beaten up, nearly scarred but mentally she would be scarred for life. We all know the infamous BLAKE, god I really dislike him since the ending of Onyx and I knew he was responsible for the entire thing that went down at Mount Weather and the worst part was EVERYONE knew. Now stuck in AREA 51, Katy has no one's but the friendly Archer see to provide her some form of hope even if he's working for the bad guy.

The DOD makes up stories saying they only want to help people who are sick, make an epic discovery to heal any sort of life threatening diseases. But at what cost? Ready to burn down the Mount Weather building, Daemon comes across Nancy (DOD) and says that she can take him to Katy if he agrees on some things.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for Katy, Daemon was there with her but that didn't change the tortures the DOD put her and Daemon through. You wonder will it ever ends, the plan to break out seems impossible unless you have a ally. Yep Archer isn't as bad as he seems and turns out he wanted to explore life outside of AREA 51. The plan was set.

On the run from the DOD, Daemon and Katy runs into their old non-friend Luc who was part of helping them get out of AREA 51 and acquaintances of Archer. The last thing Katy and Daemon expect was the gang . . . Dawson/Beth, Dee, Ash/Andrew and Matthews. It a happy moment for everyone.

But soon they find a traitor among them and everyone life is at stake, even for the unknown. Soon it seems like the only option of distraction is to exposed and lives will be lost. The next thing everyone has to worry about is the Elders since their exposure in the Nevada not only is the DOD, Arum hunting them . . . now the elders are involves and they want to take care of this mess by any means.

Jennifer really put these characters through a lot but now we have to wait for the epic conclusion of Opposition. There is a lot of romance between characters and I wish I could say more in depth about what was so truly awesome but that would be spoiling it for you guys.

Now I have to work on Shadows (Lux #0.5 ) that is Dawson POV and where we get to see how Beth and Dawson's love story started out and ended in a tragic way.
