Death Dealer Book Tour

Death: a word Mia Baron was all too familiar with since the murder of her parents when she was a young girl. Her drive for vengeance was the reason she became a Death Dealer—a soul guide through the spirit realm—signing her life away in her own blood. Pain forged a concrete wall around her heart and no one or nothing would ever penetrate it…until she got what she desired most—revenge.

Deacon Gage craves justice for his own horrific tragedy that forced him into the same life Mia chose, with the same promise of vengeance dangling just out of reach. His expert training makes him an Elite—one of the few Death Dealers to ever achieve such a status—and no one can shift his focus from the blood he seeks.

But when the two are partnered for yet another job and a heart-shattering case rips open Mia’s heart, Deacon realizes he’s the only one who can save her…at a price that might be too much to pay: opening his heart to her. The clock is ticking and her life hangs on the balance of whether he can truly let go or will hold onto his desire for blood.

Review
Mia Baron's job is to takes souls to the light gates or to the hell gates, Mia's choice of becoming a death dealer with one goal in mind . . . extracting the man that killed her parents in cold blood.
But that will all come in good time.
Then we meet Deacon Gage, another death dealer who also has a similar goal in mind just like Mia's.
Mia and Deacon are death dealer partners and both would try to prefer that but can they deny the bond that grows between them?
Will it remains a business venture or will it turn to a personal venture?

I give this 4 Cat's Tails Up, I really liked this book but you know it was short and there was a little cat nap in between reading the book. The idea was great I hoped there's be more to explore in this paranormal world Ashley has created.
Ramble
I must say this was far off from what is usually my typical read, and in a way that was good. Reading and exploring new books and ideas that I could fall in love with. Ashley brought the dark side of death and emits light into the story.
While it was a short read "Novella" I like it, I like how the characters has goals even as death dealers and the partnership both Deacon and Mia has. When they both admitted they felt something between one another, they couldn't deny the feeling.
Something being a death dealer doesn't means that you have be to alone, you can find the light and happiness even in the most darkest places.
One of my favorite moment was when Deacon was fighting off the serpent and Mia was injured . . . wounded and had fell into the abyss. He would give just about anything to save her, to see her one last time before it was too late.

Blood Promise (A Death Angel Novella—Book 2) teaser included in copy of Death Dealer.

Onyx (Lux #2) Review

ONYX (Lux #2) By Jennifer L Armentrout

Onyx (Lux, #2)Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

Onyx Book Trailer

This review is so long overdue, and I apologizes sometimes the review for a book doesn't come to me as quickly or smoothly as I wished. But I'm determine that this review will be worth the wait, so enjoy and I'll be reading Opal (in time) and purchasing Origin (Lux #4) when it's released.

The sequel to Obsidian brings new challenges, edge-driven danger, and Revelations

Review
After Katy been healed by Daemon, the danger lessen but Daemon isn't going to stop looking out for his sister and the other Luxs in small town of West Virgina. But when the Department Of Defense made it apparent to visit this small town, everyone is on high alert.

Both Katy and Daemon are still at it with each other, Katy really does wonder if Daemon's feelings are genuine or is it the alien connection when Daemon had healed her.

Katy begins to experience Alien traits but what can she do? What can Daemon do? Somehow the new kid Blake from California knows the answers but just how far will he push it?

Can Katy and Daemon figure out what the DOD has plans and what are Blake's real intentions but is there someone who even more dangerous because they are right under your nose?
Plus can Daemon prove to Katy that he does have true feeling for her?

I give this a 4.5 Cat's Tails Up, there was a lot of things happening in this book (maybe a little too much?) but anyways. Bringing in new people and reuniting with old people created the chaos for Katy, Daemon and the rest of the Lux crew.

Ramble
Onyx was filled with great twists and turns, I love how Katy finally accepted that Daemon truly does care about her in his own way and they may just become a couple. But hey a reader can only hope right?

Under Radar: With the Blacks being already under radar they were even more so due to the increase of DOD people after a satellite suddenly loses its signal . . . destroyed they now are focusing on the small town and are watching the Blacks as well the Thompson.
While DOD were focusing on the Blacks, they were also focusing on Katy because they believed that she has possessed Alien abilities which would consider a new experiment for them. Something they been working on since the beginning.

Jealous Daemon: Wow just Wow, who knew Daemon had a jealous side of him and who can blame him? With Katy potentially dating the new guy Blake what guy wouldn't? Katy want to try and live a normal life, thus meaning normal dates and normal guys but when Katy begins to show abilities that couldn't stay hidden for long for Daemon or for Blake.
The Californian Blake guy had notice Katy's ability but he wanted to know who it would've been that healed her . . . he figured out eventually. Blake begin to pitch the idea of Katy be in training learning to harness the alien ability she got or it would get out of control and possibly death? Daemon does all he can to avoid the training but he knows that Katy is being hurt during training although she denies it every time.

Unsuspected: Remember that guy Katy's mom is dating? Yeah turns out he's working for the DOD and he want to get what Katy and Blake has . . . Alien Ability. Really Man? Really?
Both Katy and Daemon works to together to figure out what is the DOD purpose and why are they possibly working with Atrum but when Katy see someone that is from Daemon's past. Katy believes that Dawson could be alive as well Bethany but Daemon for awhile pushed it off until after Daemon and Katy return to the house after facing Katy's mom ex-boyfriend (now)  and Katy being torture and near death.  Will the guy get what he wants or will Daemon be forced to watch Katy get tortured and possibly get killed right in front of him.

The ending: Just before Katy been kidnapped by her mom's ex, she and Blake fights and Dee and Adam steps in to help but Blake killed Adam with his ability. Daemon becomes furious because Katy lied to him in the first place about the injuries she's gotten while training with Blake and Adam's death was partly Katy's fault. Will Daemon forgive? After Daemon rescued Katy, coming home turns out to be a one heck of reunion for the blacks.

So yes a lot happen in this book, I just wonder what Opal will bring when someone you believe was dead is very much alive?

Book Spotlight: Destination Wedding

Hello everyone, I've gotten an usual email from an author who had asked me to do a spotlight of her book "Destination Wedding" that was recently chosen on Amazon big deal promotion. No she didn't asked for a review request since I am not taking any requests due to my number of reads I have to do before I start school. Plus I'm part of a couple blog tours so as you can see I'm pretty busy.

And I could not think of a feature for this type of post but "Book Spotlight" will do untill I get more thoughts about this type of feature and maybe more authors will come out to reach me if their books made it to Amazon Big Deal Promotion.

I was more than happy to help out Robyn to promote her book, its sounds really interesting with Twins brother, and a very confused wedding planner who believe the one she was sitting with and kissed was the same person however she learned its her client. But hint hint, it was the twin. I wonder if that twin will admit that it was him or will the lies keep on building?

Destination Wedding – On Sale Now at Amazon for $0.99!!

This will only be available until the 4th of August so hurry and get it now!

Wedding planner Kate Ashby’s fear of flying is eased by a sexy stranger and one slow lip lock that rockets her into another obit.

CEO Luke Cannon has just traded seats with his identical twin. Little did he know that an innocent kiss while pretending he was his brother would soon create havoc.

What happens in the air doesn’t stay up there. Once on tropical land, Kate believes that the handsome stranger who gave her the best kiss of her life is now her new client, Drew Cannon, fiancĂ© to the beautiful and wealthy Lauren Kincaid. While Kate struggles with the intense feelings she thinks she has for Drew, Luke discovers Kate’s been hired to plan his brother’s destination wedding. He also realizes the initial sparks they shared 30,000 feet up are now mistakenly aimed at Drew.

Can Luke get Kate to realize that the feelings she has are for him? He’s got forty-eight hours in paradise to try.

Enjoy an excerpt from Robyn Neeley's
Destination Wedding
{Chapter One}

"I do. I do." Wedding planner Kate Ashby quietly repeated her calming mantra. Paralyzed in her window seat, she stared at the illuminated fasten seatbelt sign while her hands gripped the metal buckle strap.

They had to be close to cruising altitude. Soon, she'd be able to request a strong drink to knock her out for the duration of this bumpy flight.

She sat still, trying to ignore the terror pulsating through her. Why hadn't she bought sleeping pills before boarding a twelve-hour flight from New York City to Hawaii? Now, that would have been the smart thing to do.

Glancing out the tiny passenger window, she clutched her gold "K" necklace. It was completely irrational to be terrified and she realized the odds of her and her fellow passengers landing safely in Honolulu were more than in her favor. Still, this was her first time flying such a long duration. Departing Manhattan this evening in turbulent thunderstorms had shot her nerves. She was grateful that her boss had sprung for a first class ticket for the long flight.

A loud rattle caused her to grab hold to her armrests. "What was that?" She turned to the stranger sitting next to her. He had short blondish brown hair and was wearing a blue blazer. His face had a nice tan. She had failed to realize that her row mate was incredibly handsome. Usually the person sitting next to her was a grandparent or couldn't speak English. Perhaps he could help her ease her nerves?

"Um ... I think it's the drink cart. Would you like something?" He folded his
Wall Street Journal.

Sexy and smart.

"I'll take a tequila and tonic," he said to the flight attendant.

And likes his drinks strong. This could be fun.

Blogger Times: Books Bargains

You know when you walk into a bookstore and you tend to walk pass all the bargain books? Well not today! I did actually spent a little more time looking at the bargains books

What goes through my thoughts?
  • Well there won't be anything that I would want
  • All the books I want has to purchase full price or order online
  • Why even look?
  • They're dented or poor quality

Well today I decided to look at those bargain books and a few did draw my attention. So I quickly grab some that were on my less books to read but after looking some more I found something that would really be worth buying.

While many fans have praise Beautiful Creatures series, I yet still have to read them but I got Beautiful Chaos in hardcover for a bargain price. Even though I know it will take me months maybe years before I open that book but just to know that I got it in a bargain price and in hardcover was a good deal.

Then I found Jenna Black's White Cat book in the bargains and decided I better get this now and not have my parent try to find it around November - December.

Note I am one of the lucky few being born between Christmas and New Year's so I get double the gifts(not bragging I swear)

I also picked up some book at regular prices as well, I desperately wanted to read Jenna Black's Replica book and a conversation that my dad and I had about the show Under the Dome.

We're big fan of the show and dad mention it was written by Stephen King and he read somewhere that a reader has tried to read the book but because it was super long he couldn't finish it and the interaction between characters were long ending.

So not that Dad said anything about me reading it but I found it in the store and thought I should get this and hopefully read it. Plus it would be my first Stephen King book ever both as a purchase and as a book to read.

Upcoming Blog Book Tours
Also while I'm still chatting on, I have a couple book tours coming up, next week July 31st I am sharing my review of Death Dealer by Ashley Robertson organized by IMR Blog Tour and then August (Wait did July really go that fast?) I am doing character interview for the Steel Lily Book Blog Tour on August 14th, Then I am posting another review for Steel Lily.

Also in August Dan Krokos's False Sight (False Memory #2) is being released, I am not participating in any tours for his book but I am exciting to share my review of his second book as well his first book False Memory.

Early September I will be posting a review of Disconnect (Book #1) for Divided World Tour organized by Xpresso Book Tours

I am hoping that I get to be chosen for Kismet Book Tours of Michelle Rowen's Countdown book, so cross my fingers.

So that what's going on in Blogger Times . . .

Dirty Blood Review

First off I'd like to thank Megan Curd for telling the world that we should read this book by Heather Hildenbrand and plus for a limited time Heather had it for free on ebook. SCORE!!!!!

Plus we all need a little more werewolves in our life, no I am not referring to Twilight that is over and done! I'm talking werewolves from the Mortal Instruments or Nightshades series. Both really great YA books and I would recommend reading it.

Dirty Blood (Dirty Blood, #1)I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that’s not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can’t seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted – and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws. But by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again. That’s about the time I went into shock… And that was the moment he showed up.

Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, Werewolves do exist. And Two, I was born to kill them.

Review
A much rather normal teenager Tara, never believes in what couldn't be real but that all change when she was attacked by a werewolf. Panic strikes but somehow she felt something else, something that flows through her saying "you are meant to do this" That doesn't make sense.

But then meeting up with Wes who’s showed up at the right moment at the right time, Tara knows he has answers. Later Tara discovers about werewolves and werewolves hunters alike and learns that she is a werewolf hunter.

Train or not trained? Choose a side, fall in love with a werewolves/hunter mix and learns about her heritage and how she fits into the world of werewolves and hunters as well as the Cause. Will Tara be the one that the destiny has written out? Or will the destiny be wrong?

Ramble
So the title sounds weird right? Dirty Blood, what does that mean? Well the book is a mixture of werewolves (love!) and werewolves hunters. Always are enemies but then The Cause was created many years ago, but this Cause was to gather werewolves and hunters together to create a peace and there was some sort of destiny written where one will become the leader of the movement.

Wait . . . Who's the characters? Don't worry I haven't forgotten about them I just wanted to lay the basis of the book. We meet Tara who encounters a werewolf that attacks her! Then suddenly after managing to fight the werewolf, a stranger name Wes comes along. So what was the deal? why did this werewolf out of nowhere attacks and then this truly handsome guy shows up? Something connects but Tara won't be able to figure it out without the help of Wes.

The journey for Tara on choosing to be trained or walk away from everything prove to be difficult when the werewolves are after you no matter what. But Tara's heritage is just that much closer to being expose when the werewolf Leo makes some shocking news.

The secrets starts pouring out and those secrets just might end up doing more harm than good and protection. Will Tara accept for who she is or will she look the other way?

I love the mixture of werewolves and werewolves hunters, it definitely something different from other werewolves books I've read. So I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Currently Reading: False Sight

I know, I know . . . It been forever since I've done this type of post but I am staying very busying with my blog and my posts. If you haven't heard, there's a new feature called Mouse Watch. That feature I will use whenever I'm eyeing a book/books that I can't wait to get my paws on. Sure I might be watching mices but that duty is for the big cat Buddy who live to do that.

So False Sight . . . What is it, Who wrote it?

False Sight (False Memory, #2)All Miranda wants is a normal life. She's determined to move past the horrible truth of her origin as a clone so she can enjoy time with her boyfriend, Peter, and the rest of her friends at school. But Miranda quickly learns that there's no such thing as normal - not for a girl who was raised to be a weapon. When one of her teammates turns rogue, it begins a war that puts the world in jeopardy. Now Miranda must follow her instincts - not her heart - in order to save everything she's fought so hard to keep. with the image of a terrible future seared into her mind, what will she have to sacrifice to protect the people she loves?

Dan Krokos's sequel to the tour de force False Memory is a mind-blowing thriller with high-octane action that will leave readers begging for the final book in this bold and powerful trilogy.

Hardcover, 336 pages
Expected publication: August 13th 2013 by Hyperion

I've request this book from Netgallery only to realize that it was book #2 so I order the first book False Memory (Review is underway). I love Dan's ideas for this series and typically this kind of book would confused me but it doesn't and the storyline is only getting for clearer. I'm axnious to know what Miranda and the remaing of her crew will do once they discovered what's their purpose is.

Mentors: Day Fifteen

It's the final day of the Book Blogger Challenge! I had so much fun doing this and I'm actually trying to find ideas to bring to the blogosphere and start another challenge. But it turns out pinterest is being very picky/tricky on me . . . maybe it's the keywords I used? Anyways Thanks April of Good Books and Good Wine for bringing this to the table.

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine
Today we talk about book blogger mentors, whether you actually got mentoring from another blogger or you followed their advice on something . . . it's still the same thing!

First off when I decided that I wanted to be serious on taking notes for when I read a book, cause something I can forget things. So first off I followed Parajunkee's Advice on "Tips for writing a great review" Now I may not follow every tip but it at least it's a start in the right direction.

I know people use goodreads for updates on their reading progress and I've done that but then I got bored doing so because I would be so far ahead of what my reading progress was. So I asked Kara a pretty simple question "Is it easier to write notes or use Goodreads?" Goodread can be helpful when a book has a lot of details like Onyx (Lux #2) when I was reading it, there were so many little details.

I do a monthly book releases post and for awhile I thought ok I'll just browse the Barnes and Noble's coming soon books but then that ends up being unproductive to me. So I asked Fiktshun how she does it since she post more book release than me. Try Amazon, she said and so I test it out and found that I can narrow down by months and genres and all the other things Barnes and Noble doesn't have.

I've also send Fiktshun an email about giveaways, because I am so new at the giveaway aspects I know nothing . . . no guidelines, no ideas, no clue! So she was more than happy to explain to me how it works for her . . . so I am hoping once I get the confidence to push my blog a little further.

So I've asked typical questions when I should know those answers but sometime its better hearing it from someone else.
  • Writing a great review
  • Goodreads Reading progress
  • Searching for upcoming books releases
  • Giveaways
So who are your blogger mentors? Who do you go to for help/advice?

Deal Breakers: Day Fourteen

The Book Blogging Challenge is almost done! April of Good Books and Good Wine brought this to us and everyone is buzzing about it. If you haven't heard about it, then check out anywhere by typing "15 Days Book Blogger Challenge" and the result will be phenomenal.
15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine
We talked about a lot of things and now we will talk about deal breakers . . . yes deal breakers. While I do try to find the best deal breakers, sometimes those deal breakers find me.

I'd much rather pay for full price but it good that I can get a deal on some books . . . however with the piracy problems some consider that a deal breaker for those who steals and doesn't pay a cent.

But then the authors doesn't get paid, their book get demoted, and then books are wounded. So as you can see deal breakers are not always good, sometimes it worth the money in your pocket to be spent at full price.

Also any deals you make be sure it done through a legitimate distributor, and if authors are presenting an free Ebook be sure that it is on their site or on the publishing site. Some places might copy what was once free and is no longer because those Ebooks might have made it in paper.

So what are some of my deals? Well in the last month I made a really great deal on a hardcover copy of The Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. The original price was 19.99 (Yes Twenty bucks for a book, but it was the first edition and it was also hardcover and HC tend to run a few more bucks than the paperbacks) but Barnes and Noble were reducing it's price and then I used a Barnes and Noble code. (Codes tends to be helpful around holidays so I consider very highly when using codes) And boom! the book in HC was under 10 bucks! WOW!

In April, when I got really sick and trying to recuperate I needed a book that was being released very soon by my favorite author, but I decided to look around a little bit more and found out that Jennifer L Armentrout's Lux books were reduce prices as well. They were about 5 and something cents a piece! I thought this would be the perfect time to buy the series and start reading them (I know Onyx Review isn't up yet and I'm trying to get it done and then I have Opal to read but I might not read it until later this year)

Have you notice Mass Paperback books have different varies of prices? Well I have and I'm not 100% sure on why I mean some were 6.99 and other were 7.99. Maybe it based on how long it been out?

So what were some of your deal breakers? Do you typically look for a good deal or are you willing to pay full price?

Under Appreciated: Day Thirteen

It's lucky #13 and it is also day 13 of the 15 Book Blogger Challenge, today we talk about the under appreciated book, the one that EVERYONE should read. Go check out April of Good Books and Good Wine blog and follow up on the challenge.
15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine
Can I say that I am one of those people who read certain books because of the buzz of that book? Well I am and that part of how my TBR pile grows, while some are my own discovery and just browsing titles. I can't really suggest to you what book that I've read is under appreciated.

I know many readers like to read YA books and that is the majority of what they read. I on the other hand read Urban Fantasy Adult books as well. I love reading YA books but I like to read the Adult books as well, not to be confused with New Adult which I've only read two books in that genre and in the same series. So I couldn't really tell you what NA books I like.

I know many prefers YA because they are Tweens at heart and even reminds them of the good old days, but come on! don't you want to read adult with adult challenges? The chances are wide open for any adults and limited to teens unless that book consider a certain age to be an adult.

So needless to say, I can't give you an under appreciated book that you should read because most people I'm friends with in the Blogosphere have read the book. I'm the one that falls behind on the books.

Blogger Fatigue: Day Twelve

It's day Twelve of the 15 Days Book Blogger Challenge, again thanks April of Good Book and Good Wine for bring this and we are just loving it! But what I'm not loving is this heat wave! I don't live in a world of AC so I have to leave my house to go take comfort somewhere else.

So today topic is how do we fight blogger fatigue?

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine

While I love blogging all the time, sometimes I get fatigue from it . . . I deal with these thoughts

I have nothing fresh or new, this is something that I always kick myself in the head with. I always had that fear of I wouldn't be able to keep my readers interested or they lose the interest in me. But I should know by now that I should blog what I know and love to do and not worry about the popularity I gained/lost. Plus I should blog when I can, while I do blog regularly but sometimes life's get in the way.

My reviews are taking longer to post, yes while I read and read books . . . reviewing is a whole other thing where I have to go back skim through that book and through my notes. Reviewing for me involves writing a review without spoilers and then ramble where there is spoilers. But I want to try and make my reviews better and without spoilers.

Eye strained, yes I get this every once in awhile because I'm constantly on my laptop and typing or searching or doing my social stuff. Then my poor eyes are strained and I have to close my laptop. What people don't know is that I am only able to see out of my right eye because of a virus that I've gotten at a very young age where my vision in my left eye was affect and left me with a weaker vision(very weak) and in order for me to do any "seeing" out of my left eye I have to complete shut my right eye. So everything I do and see is out of my right vision. So you can imagine that I can get eye strain much easier.

Some days I just want to read! If there's a time where I'm doing so much blogging that all I want to do is read then I will step away and go enjoy a book. Plus I had this book on my TBR pile for too long and I really want to read it.

So how do I fight Blogging Fatigue?

  • Step away from the laptop!
  • Go read a book!
  • Listen to music
  • Go on Twitter/Facebook/Goodreads
  • Upload stuff to my laptop (I do photography so I often time put pictures on my computer and then do with what I want with them)
  • I watch one of my TV shows
  • Go to the gym
  • Write for enjoyment

Armchaire BEA Day Two: After I heard the buzz abotu Armchaire BEA I had to find out more and decided to join in on the fun, one of my best post was the Blogger Development and Fiction. http://sassycatsbooksreview.blogspot.com/2013/05/armchaire-bea-day-2-blogger-development.html

Gone with the Wolf Review, I love everything about this book and the author is truly amazing, so I can't wait to read her next Settla Wolf Pack and hopefully next time I can ask some questions. Part of the 15 Days Book Blogger Challenge, what tears jerker book would you recommend? I had to pick IF I DIE because this was the turning point for the character in a lot of way and new dynamics for the characters as well. I'm sure I'll get everyone agreement once they read the book. http://sassycatsbooksreview.blogspot.com/2013/07/tears-worthy-day-five.html

Who doesn't love cover reveals? espically when you're one of the peeps that actually get to see it early and also put it out to the world! I have two of my favorite cover reveals post, one being Megan Curd's Steel Lily Cover and I love the book! Granted for ARC copy! Then I have Jennifer L Armentrout Origin Cover Reveal. Origin is book #4 for the Lux Series and I've read book 1 and two and is dying to read book #3 when I have the time. http://sassycatsbooksreview.blogspot.com/2013/05/cover-reveal_28.html

Replica (Replica Trilogy)  by Jenna Black
Replica (Replica, #1)Breathtaking new YA SF from the author of the Faeriewalker series

Sixteen-year-old Nadia Lake comes from a high-class Executive family in the Corporate States. Her marriage has been arranged with the most powerful family in her state, which means she lives a life of privilege but also of public scrutiny, followed everywhere by photographers, every detail of her private life tabloid fodder. But her future is assured, as long as she can maintain her flawless public image — no easy feat when your betrothed is a notorious playboy.

Nathan Hayes is the heir of Paxco — controller of the former state of New York, and creator of human replication technology, science that every state and every country in the world would kill to have. Though Nadia and Nate aren’t in love, they’ve grown up close, and they (and the world) are happy enough with their match.

Until Nate turns up dead, and as far as everyone knows, Nadia was the last person to see him alive.

When the new Nate wakes up in the replication tanks, he knows he must have died, but with a memory that only reaches to his last memory backup, he doesn’t know what killed him. Together, Nadia and Nate must discover what really happened without revealing the secrets that those who run their world would kill to protect.

What books are you waiting for to be released? I have two in mind so look for my new feature Mouse Watch later this week.

Choose a BOOK!: Day Ten

You're done with a book but now you're stuck with the thought of what am I going to read next?

Well I can say shopping for books is much easier than picking out what book to read next, there are so many to choose from!

So let's get started . . .
As you can see I have quiet a few to choose from

So how do I choose? I don't think much about it . . . I just sort of grab whatever book that seem interesting to read.

Other times when I'm reading a series, I will grab the next book in the series (if I haven't had to wait)

What to read on the Ipad is a different story, I'm trying to get used to reading more on the Ipad but I love the paper format so much more so I read books that are on the Ipad at night unless I'd started a new paperback book read.

So picking out what book to read is hard, I just don't know what I'll be in a mood for but I think my next couple reads are books that I've been hearing and or were recent purchase.

Plus I am heading back to the gym so I will be taking a book with me to read while I bike

How do you choose a book . . .

Thanks again April of Good Books and Good Wine for bring this blogger challenge!

Claimed (Club SIn #1)

Claimed (Club Sin #1) By Stacey Kennedy

Did someone turn up the heat in here? Whew I am just burning . . . Like really, this book equals to the amount of heat I've been dealing with in real life.

Claimed (Club Sin, #1)Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited—and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.

Presley is different than the other submissives Dimitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in him far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.

ebook, 272 pages
Expected publication: August 5th 2013 by Random House Loveswept

Ok I'll admit I was worry that I wouldn't be able accepted to read this book from Netgallery, but when I saw that I could I was thrilled! I love Stacey's writing in Werewolves Be Damned and I am still eager to read her Cat's Meow (Witches Brew #1) Soon I'll have my hands on that book.

Now please note that this is Erotica, BDSM, Adult Fiction, but based purely on fiction and completely from the author's imagination.

Review
Presley spent 8 years of her life with a cheater, after calling things off with the guy she found herself reading romance books until her roommate  Cora told her about the life she's living. A very submissive lifestyle. Sure she drags Presley to where she spends her weekends and told Presley that this was a one time offer Presley believes she is out of her mind until she sees Dmitri . . . GOOD GOD
Dmitri the owner of Club Sin, this was what he does on a regular basis beside being the president of Las Vegas top Casino. He doesn't know what Cora's friend might have in mind but once Presley had walked through that door . . . he was determine to find out everything about her desires and fantasy. Perhaps even more if she would allow him to know

I give this Five Cat's Tails, talk about exploring new things and learning about what truly pleases you with the right guy.

Ramble
Ok I think I've drooled enough, while I've heard of BDSM and other activities styles Stacey wrote it perfectly. I wouldn't never assume that these are personal experiences, it was presented as fantasy and fiction which is what writing is about!

Stacey created Dmitri and Presley, two very different people and this is a clear example of opposite do attract. Dmitri runs the business of BDSM and Presley good friend Cora being a part of that business, she thought it was time for Presley to explore her wild side.

Dmitri was apprehensive when Cora told him about her friend wanting to explore BDSM, but the moment Presley walks into his office he was sold. He wanted to play out all the soft limits and hard limits that Presley has and perhaps just wanting her all by himself.

Presley need something new, and if that wasn't enough her ex wanted to make connections again. Presley will never forgive him for what he done and she will no longer ever want anything from him.

The only thing she wants is Dmitri who taken her willpower and becomes submissive to him.
Together these two just emits fire without being burned and sometimes you just have to break the rules to get your full satisfactions.

Stacey wrote an amazing indulgence book and I can't wait to read the next couples who will break the rules just to be happy and satisfied. Hint I heard its Cora's story :-)

Why Blog about Books: Day Nine

We're halfway there! Thanks April of Good Books and Good Wine again for bringing this challenge to the table, all I can say is that I've been blogging for the challenge rather than doing my usual posts which I'm greatly behind. Sorry!!!!
15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine
The challenge had asked us a very serious question . . . Why Blog about BOOKS?
Here's a few reasons . . .

We love to read . . .

We love adding books to our TBR Pile. . .

We love adding to our bookshelf . . .

Kat's bookcase

And even stacking them in crates . . .

We Love Authors! . . .

Is there really much more to say?

Blogger Times: Where I've been

I haven't gone anywhere as you can tell with my numerous posts, however I am participating in a 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge. So that takes up a lot of my blogging time . . . writing and posting is a lot of work luckily this isn't hand-written otherwise I would have given up long ago because I am horrible with writing and my hand tends to cramp when I write for long period of times. Thanks God for Technology!

So I haven't been anywhere . . . but I'll update on what I've been reading

I am reading at least three books this month (well trying to) I just have a lot of reading to do and they are mostly on my Ipad.

Netgallery Books
I am staying away from Netgallery for the meantime because I have about 5 books that are from the wonderful site but either A) I haven't read the book or B) I haven't written the review. I am trying my best to get these books read.
Some books are released in August so I will put my focused on reading or reviewing perhaps both for theirs August release.
I am putting the ones that have already been released on hold until I actually have time to read them, but they will not be read without a review.

Book Blog Tours
On the other hands, I am doing two book blog tours in the month of August and September
One I am SO HAPPY to be a part of because I just love her as an Author and as a friend,
Steel Lily By Megan Curd released date is August 20th and I have to do either A)Author Review B)Guest Post or C)Characters Interview. But I still have to finished reading the darn book . . . it's really good but my eyes are not wanting to read as quickly as I would like them to.  So I have a lot to do in preparation of Steel Lily Book Blog Tour.

Then the other tour I'll be on is Divided Worlds Book Tour, I am only reviewing book #1 because I haven't read the series yet. This tour is for the third book that is being released, what nice about this tour is that they schedule people to read either Book 1, Book 2, or Book 3 and among other things.
I am still waiting for my review copy and my review won't be live until the 6th of September so I have a while to go but I will be starting school at the end of August.

Stacking the Shelf
I have gotten The Clockwork Princess By Cassandra Clare and False Memory by Dan Krokos just a few days ago. Because Dan's second book of his series is under my netgallery books I had to go and buy the first book and read that first before jumping into book two. The book itself sound interesting so I can't wait to read it.

So does that mean I have 15 seconds too? Tick Tock Tick Tock
  • Background I love Mindy's Magical Urban Fantasy Read Blog, with that crescent moon and starry nights
  • Header, Jessica at Hackroo's Reviews features her title and her avatar I also love that her avatar features a little bump since she was expecting and now is a new mom to her little girl
  • Avatars! Rachel at Fiktshun has so many! It crazy to know what mood her avatar might be because I think her avatars has a mind of it own!
  • Colors Kara at Great Imagination has a splash of colors I remember her old background kind of plain and boring but the new one really draws the attention
  • Sidebars, Rachel at Fiktshun has so many from books Tours to Team Side, I'm always drawn to her sidebars
  • Goodreads Currently Reading App
  • Google Followers
  • Blog Buttons
  • Signatures, Jessica at Hackaroo's Review has the cutest signature and I think signatures are very important while I may have two or three different types of signature in real life and my name hadn't changed!
  • Designs within a post I see some bloggers have some designs within a post like a page breaker or however you want to call it
  • Social Media buttons customize by how their blog looked like
  • Author's Blogs are always fun to look at!
Sighs I can't think of anymore but I can't wait to see what the rest of the bloggers have to say of what appeals to them

Blogger Qurks: Day Seven

Blogger quirks
I am just loving this 15 Days Book Blogger Challenge that April of Good Books and Good Wine has brought to the the blogosphere. I can barely keep up with my other posts that I've been lacking and reading books that needs review.
15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Good Books And Good Wine

What are my quirks?

I think a lot has to do with my cat-like personality and bubbly conversations

As you know SassyCat's is a quirk all by its own, while I have Sassy qualities the word/name Sassy comes from one of my favorite movie . . . Homeward Bound.

I'm always driven to get people to read books that I've read and recommend to them that way they are not missing out.  I can probably talk more about books than anything else . . . well there is one other thing but it personal and it involves too many medical terms and definitions/explanation.

Most of my closest friends has a underline information about it, but I don't feel the need to share it out to my blog unless something is pertained.

While my review rating is "Cat't Tails"  I actually have someone who is working on the raters and all things for my blog, so yes SassyCat's Books Review will be getting a makeover and it will be more suitable to what I'd envisioned.

Why a Cat's Tails as a rater? Well unless you have a cat . . . you won't believe what a cat does with its tail and how it involved with its body language. So I thought that would be a fun rater to do, don't get me wrong I tried to create my own but I am not that talented on blog designing such and such.

Here's a photo of my cat and his tail . . . he in a partly curl position and his tail is curl up

That all the quirks I can think of so on to the next post and I think this one will be exciting ;-)
