ABOUT ALL CLOSED OFF (Releasing May 1, 2017):

Stella Santos is fine.

Maybe something terrible happened to her that she can’t even remember. And maybe it drives her crazy when her friends treat her like she’s on the verge of breaking because of it. Maybe it feels even worse when they do what she asks and pretend that it never happened at all. And maybe she’s been getting harassing emails and messages for months from people who don’t even know her, but hate her all the same.
But none of that matters because she’s just fine.
For Ryan Blake, Stella was always that girl. Vibrant and hilarious and beautiful. He wanted her as his best friend. His more than friends. His everything and anything that she would give him. Which these days is a whole lot of nothing. She gets angry when he’s there. Angry when he’s not there. Angry when he tries to talk and when he doesn’t.
When Stella devises an unconventional art project for one of her classes all about exploring intimacy—between both friends and strangers—Ryan finds himself stepping in as guinea pig after one of her subjects bails. What was supposed to be an objective and artistic look at emotion and secrets and sex suddenly becomes much more personal. When he hits it off with another girl from the project, Stella will have to decide if she’s willing to do more than make art about intimacy. To keep him, she’ll have to open up and let herself be the one thing she swore she’d never be again.
Vulnerable.

INSPIRE (Book 1):

Kalliope lives with one purpose. To inspire.

As an immortal muse, she doesn’t have any other choice. It’s part of how she was made. Musicians, artists, actors—they use her to advance their art, and she uses them to survive. She moves from one artist to the next, never staying long enough to get attached. But all she wants is a different life— a normal one. She’s spent thousands of years living lie after lie, and now she’s ready for something real.

Sweet, sexy, and steady, Wilder Bell feels more real than anything else in her long existence. And most importantly… he’s not an artist. He doesn’t want her for her ability. But she can’t turn off the way she influences people, not even to save a man she might love. Because in small doses, she can help make something beautiful, but her ability has just as much capacity to destroy as it does to create. The longer she stays, the more obsessed Wilder will become. It’s happened before, and it never turns out well for the mortal.

Her presence may inspire genius. But it breeds madness, too.

About INFLICT (Book 2):

Wilder Bell made a dangerous bargain... For a chance at love, he gave up his life.

History knew Kalliope as an ancient Greek muse, but to Wilder, she was simply the woman he wanted to fall asleep with every night and wake up next to every morning. He made a deal with Hades, but the only thing the Lord of the Underworld deals in is death. Now Wilder is wasting away in a cold and wretched afterlife, waiting for Kalli to come for him. She will come. He has to believe that. Because the alternative is worse than death.

Kalliope lived her entire existence knowing that she was both a blessing and a curse to anyone she encountered. Wilder was no different. She loved him, and she got him killed. Now to get him back, she’ll have to face a scheming god, a perilous task, and death itself. But before it’s done, the Underworld will take more from her than she ever thought possible.

To be made whole, all must first be lost.

Book Review: Losing It

Losing It (Losing It #1) by Cora Carmack

Losing It (Losing It, #1) Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren’t embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She’d left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

Paperback, 288 pages

Published February 26th 2013 by William Morrow (first published January 1st 2012)

REVIEW
Bliss Edwards is on her last semester of college and she's the only one that still has the V-card status, determine to change that she goes out to the bars.

Brushing up on Shakespeare Garrick didn't think he would attract girls that way but Bliss Edwards caught his eyes.

Almost having an one night stand meant everything for Bliss, but she couldn't bring herself to do it so she tells Garrick to leave and that would be the end of it.

But then both Garrick and Bliss learn something about each other that pushes the professional boundary.

Can they keep their true relationship a secret from other colleagues or will something threaten to them and be exposed?

I give this an PURRFECT PURRFEST! I absolutely adore/love Garrick and Bliss, I really love Cora's writing because it feels so authentic with these characters.

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW

First off let me just go PURRRRR on this book! I read it on my way back home from a trip, it was an 10 hour drive and I ended up reading the whole book between 2-4 hours! I DEVOURED Losing It, Cora Carmack knows how to write young adults that are venturing out looking for a little hook up or maybe a little relationship.

Also WHY can't Cora create a real life Garrick and send him to me?!?! I would die to date someone with an sexy accent.

Bliss Edwards is in her final semester and she still hadn't gotten action yet, her own mother pester her about dating and getting out there. Well with it being Bliss's last semester at her Texas college she thought maybe, just maybe she might get lucky.

Well she got lucky alright . . .  Meet Garrick Taylor the sexy hot British guy who was reading Shakespeare in a bar! Now I don't care about Shakespeare but I love Bliss's reaction.

Boom they share a common love/hate for Shakespeare, meanwhile Bliss's overbearing virginity status got her thinking crazy. But crazy works for both of them . . . however Bliss can't seem to stop rambling! I mean Garrick already finds you sexy so why are you letting your status ruin it?

AND that was the END of Seeing Garrick . . . or so I thought but when he does make a comeback into Bliss's life BUT here's the KICKER, he's her teacher for one of her class! AWKWARD! However when trying to be professional and keeping their little relationship under wraps, Bliss's friends are trying to get her out and about meeting guys right in front of him. But what's worst was that Bliss friend Cade starts acting very touchy touchy.

I had an sense that Cade was into Bliss in the beginning but why hadn't he build up the courage to asks her out BEFORE she met Garrick. He even started acting boyfriendish around Bliss although that status quo was not even in existence for Bliss.

Both Bliss and Garrick can't control the insane chemistry they have for one another but because of the professional level that they really can't cross that boundary but they do it anyway in secretly. They risked everything pretty much to be together and then they get into a huge argument in front of Cade who realizes the truth about the two of them.

In the end I love the end FYI, I even love the epilogue that takes place 6 months later and Garrick being head over heels for Bliss. I really hope that Cora will do something to tied up where everyone stands, and after reading Garrick and Bliss's story I had two crazy fan-fic Idea for Garrick and Bliss! Like it's truly is perfect so hopefully I will be able to share that or submit that to the RT Fan-Fic contest for 2016

Book Review: All Played Out

All Played Out (Rusk University #3) by Cora Carmack\

All Played Out (Rusk University, #3)First person in her family to go to college? CHECK.
Straight A’s? CHECK.
On track to graduate early? CHECK.
Social life? …..yeah, about that….

With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay... Scratch that. She knows she hasn't had the full college experience).

So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a "to do" list of normal college activities.

Item #1? Hook up with a jock.

Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it's impossible to get hurt... again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.

Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she's never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he's willing to take the chance when it's more than just a game.

Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.

Review

The bucket list that started it all . . .

Nell is the quirky focused college girl who doesn't have much experiences in LIFE, so in order to change that she created her own bucket list.

Mateo is the jock that everyone wants their hands on, but nobody ever stood out to him except and until Nell came along.

With Nell wanting to experiences a lot of FIRSTS, Mateo is determine to make sure that all of her FIRSTS goes right, including her most intimate ones.

During the time they share together . . . there's just might be something that either one of them expected.

Falling in Love . . .

I give this 4.5 Cat's Tail Up! Cora's writing is impeccable! I really can't believe that I'd never pick up her book until now. A Bucket list that started it all.

MEOW . . . MEOW . . . MEOW

First off the writing is unbelievable! Cora writes as if she's is the age her characters are, Nell and Mateo are two polar opposite. Girl genius vs Jock.

Now myself as a reader/blogger I am too an college student but I never lived in dorms and I never went to colleges parties because yeah it's not my scene at all. Nell is sort of the same way but then she goes making a list of things to do before she graduates. To add some life experiences, that's where Mateo comes along . . . Sort of but he did come with a warning.

Mateo is very athletic and I don't think when I read the book, there was a mention to what college degree he was studying. So is he smart? Geeky? Which I don't see. Or average? I don't know! But he certainly knows a lot about doing Firsts.

Having your first drink
Having your first time
Having your first keg stand
Let's just say a lot of firsts . . . Especially for Nell.

Nell and Mateo don't really know what's to expect between each other and with Mateo pushing all the buttons Nell has and helping her with her bucket list you wonder what else will get added on.

All Played Out has all of that opposite attracts chemistry, even more so Mateo who's a jock actually like girls like Nell. With this "relationship" moving so fast, is the fire going to burn out?

Between finding out about how sexy a library can be, skinny dippy, and Nell having her first time that there could be something real between Mateo and Nell but sometimes their differences in life can ruin that. When Mateo finds out about Nell's graduating, he realizes that he may only have a short time with her and when he started putting his own health at risks Nell doesn't think she could be with someone who is only thinking about sport as a logical career.

Maybe somethings aren't meant to last . . .

Nell took the risk of creating a bucket list, but she really didn't think that
A. She would fall In love.
B. Get her heartbroken.

and

C. Wants it all back again.

RED MOON...: #Teaser - ALL PLAYED OUT by Cora Carmack

The ending of this book was bittersweet, both Nell and Mateo want it all back! These two I think deserve to be getting engaged in the future, having their own place together, and having a lot more firsts.

Inspire Teaser 3
Excerpt:

I can feel Wilder’s breath against my lips. More than that, I can see it. The sun has set and the temperature has dropped, and air fogs between us. There’s something about actually seeing it, like our lips are touching, we are touching, despite the distance between. And as we sway from side to side, my heart gradually begins to pick up speed.
The strains of guitar music flowing out from the restaurant are nearly indecipherable over the heavy heartbeat in my ears. But Wilder must hear it. His hands are strong on my body, guiding my movements, and I’m practically clay in his palms.
We dance, eyes on eyes, lips nearly on lips, and there is lightning beneath my skin each time his body brushes against mine in a new way. His touch is firm, but gentle, never pushing or pressuring, though I can tell from the dark look in his eyes that he’s just as affected as I am. The music shifts, building to a crescendo, and he spins us. My chest pushes tight against his, and I bite back a gasp. I don’t know if it’s the cold or him or some combination of both, but the tips of my breasts are painfully tight. Just the pressure of my bra is enough to rub them raw.
I remember the night at his apartment, the way he’d taken his time learning my body. I think of the heat of his mouth on my skin, and the memory alone is enough to make me shiver and clench.
He’s back to being business, grown-up Wilder tonight in his button down and glasses. Only now that I know him, it doesn’t seem like such a stark difference. He is neither the straight-laced man nor the tattooed bad boy. Or perhaps he’s both. Regardless of what he’s wearing, Wilder is caring and loyal and strong and so sexy that I’m having trouble remembering why I shouldn’t push him into the backseat of his SUV and crawl on top of him.
