Book Review: The Curse Keepers

The Curse Keepers (The Curse Keeper #1) by

The Curse Keepers (Curse Keepers series)The wall between our world and that of vengeful spirits has protected humanity for more than 400 years. It’s about to come crashing down.
Ellie Lancaster has lived her whole life by the site of the mysterious Lost Colony of Roanoke, the Virginia settlement that vanished without a trace around 1590. Only the descendants of the two men who banished the spirits of an enemy tribe from the material realm know what really happened to the colony. Ellie is one of those descendants—a Curse Keeper. Her father took pains to teach her what he knew of the curse and the responsibilities of its guardians. He taught her that if the two Curse Keepers ever meet, the curse will be lifted, the gate will open, and the raging Native American spirits will be unleashed to seek their revenge.

Despite her father’s seriousness, Ellie has always taken the legend for a harmless fairy tale. Until she meets the darkly handsome, but downright infuriating, Collin Dailey and realizes everything she was told is true. For when they meet, it’s like the air is sucked from the room. Collin’s presence is electrifying… and it’s not just attraction Ellie feels, but the inexorable pull toward her destiny. The prophecy is real, and now Ellie and Collin must battle supernatural forces and their loathing—and passion—for each other to set things right.

The Curse Keepers are all that stand between the world and its destruction.

I've requested this book off on Netgallery, and I did an author interview which you can check out here Kitty Blitz: The Curse Keepers

Review
What do you do when you find out that you're cursed? Your descendants have been doing this for years and now it's your turn. Ellie was going about her day when she meets the other Curse Keeper that she's has to work with in order to close the portal and save mankind. But Ellie doesn't believe in legends or curses even myths but then things starts to happen and she has no idea what to do next.

Collin Dailey knew that this one day will come but he didn't expect that the other Curse Keeper Ellie, would be so in the dark about the legend. But there's something else too, he's know as the player but Ellie doesn't really know that but he can't deny the spark between them.

Ellie and Collin will have to work together to get the portal close before it's too late, but can they when the enemy is always one step ahead and they also have to deal with how they feel for each other in the mist of it.

I freaking love this! I've never read a book that was both fiction and real life. The way she wrote it and how much deep history is into that it's kept so drawn into the story.

This is a little Bundle of Kittens, although I haven't read anything by Denise before, reading her newest book was great and I'll be rushing to read her other books as well the next book for Curse Keepers.

Meow . . . Meow . . . Meow

I really love the idea behind The Curse Keepers, its fresh and new on the plus side it's under the New Adult group nothing is held back. Denise brings two characters together that have to save the world but I think it's a challenge for them to not try to throw the first punch.

Ellie never believe in the stories that her father told her but now she's going to have to face the facts, myths are real. Collin try to do everything he can to help Ellie understand but he's trying deal with his own emotions and feelings towards Ellie.

Both Collin and Ellie have a lot of passion with each other although Collin is afraid because of who he is as a person. I think Collin is a deep down kind of guy but he just need to open up but I sense there's some deep dark secret that he's not willing to share.

Ellie is pretty straight-forward and doesn't usually like to play games that would be wasting her time but she is holding onto Collin not just because of how she felt about him but, she is still maintain her distance. Which I'm glad because there's a funny feeling that Collin will reveal something that she will not like.

How about the mythical gods? I think Okeus is pretty a determine god, there's so much backstory to The Curse Keepers that as a reader I'm just getting the start of it. I can't wait to read The Curse Breakers and the Novella of the series.

I did a Kitty Blitz with Denise, asking her about The Curse Keepers and a few other random thing about her and about the Curse Keepers.

Book Review Olivia Twisted

Olivia Twisted by Vivi Barnes

Olivia TwistedOlivia

He tilts my chin up so my eyes meet his, his thumb brushing lightly across my lips. I close my eyes. I know Z is trouble. I know that being with him is going to get me into trouble. I don’t care.

At least at this moment, I don’t care.

Tossed from foster home to foster home, Olivia’s seen a lot in her sixteen years. She’s hardened, sure, though mostly just wants to fly under the radar until graduation. But her natural ability with computers catches the eye of Z, a mysterious guy at her new school. Soon, Z has brought Liv into his team of hacker elite—break into a few bank accounts, and voila, he drives a motorcycle. Follow his lead, and Olivia might even be able to escape from her oppressive foster parents. As Olivia and Z grow closer, though, so does the watchful eye of Bill Sykes, Z’s boss. And he’s got bigger plans for Liv…

Z

I can picture Liv’s face: wide-eyed, trusting. Her smooth lips that taste like strawberry Fanta.

It was just a kiss. That’s all. She’s just like any other girl.

Except that she’s not.

Thanks to Z, Olivia’s about to get twisted.

Review
Olivia has always thought she was alone, that no one wanted her but then it seems that another door opens however she didn't expect this. Her foster parents are two complete opposite, and her foster mother barely make any contact while her foster father attempt to make this one happy family. What a mess up life.

Z has always lived on the edge, manage his way through life but now the game has changed when Olivia enters the computer classroom. Working under a hacking organization, he has to recurit Olivia the talented hacker in disguise but when he starts developing feelings for her and see her side, all he wants to do is find her happy ending.

I really like this book, especially when recalling it as Twisted Olivia don't know how I could switch the title up both Vivi Barnes and I had a laugh over it. This book has originally and it's Vivi's first full length novel, living on the edge and living under the rules where all you want to do is free free.

I'm giving this a Four and a half Cat's Tails Up, with it's originality and contemporary romance I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

Meow . . .  Meow . . . Meow
This is a super late review, I can't tell you how late but when school was in session I had very little time to read much less writing a review. I think my process of reading and reviewing take twice as long when I'm in school so I'm sorry that it's late.

I like Olivia from the beginning, she want to be accepted into a family although she did feel that way with one family but due to circumstances she had to be move to another foster home. She had a very oddball of foster parents, they are by some level wealthy but their dynamic of being a family was strange.

Olivia first day in a new school didn't start off good because of mix-up and such, so when she enters the computer class most people glance at her then look the other way except for one person Z.

Z has told himself to never fall for anyone ever again after his last serious but not serious relationship that when whack. But when he laid eyes on Olivia, he's curious about her not just by her own spunk but her talents.

The danger that Olivia and Z comes across are business and their own heart, it sadden me when Z in retrospect lead Olivia on but just as Olivia's feeling deepen for Z he's pulling away keeping her at a distance.

After awhile Z helps Olivia or well does the hunt on his own finding relatives that way Olivia could at least get her happy ending or a better life than what was going on in her recent foster home.

But the hacking business that Z is into, he also brings Olivia into it only to want her out of it when Bill the head guy the one that runs everything at the Monroe house threatens Z through Olivia.

The ending was OMG, heart racing and gut-wrenching that I didn't know if everything was going to be okay in the end. But Olivia found a new life living with her grandfather and Z or should I say Jack finally got out of Monroe house and attends the same school Olivia is in now. Their love will never falter.

SassyCat's Birthday!!

Hey everyone it's Lumiere! and he has a message for you all!!!!
Wish SassyCat a Happy Birthday!!!!

Kat is celebrating today with friends and family, and enjoying her new gifts and pretties from Christmas. If you're wondering about her age, I'm sure she's anywhere between 22-28 but she won't share unless she accidentally slip up on her twitter page.

So be sure to leave a comment or tweet to her @KatN21 wishing her happy birthday!

Here's are some memorable birthday of the past for Kat,

1. Getting my Laptop (Yep that was the best thing I could asked for as a teenager) my laptop actually taught me how to type rather that all the torturous keyboarding classes I had in middle school and elementary.

2. Turning 21 was a big thing, although having a glass of wine or a bottle of beer is just enough for one night

3. My Canon T3i Rebel camera! I've been looking at cameras since forever and I really wanted one that had a lot of great features. Now I might decide to do something as a self-business but we will see :-)

4. When I was little I had a birthday party at McDonalds with some of my childhood friends, that day was fun! Oh also at an arcade gaming center :-)

5. My parents made me a scooby-doo cake theme one year and a two tier cake (per my request) another year.  But now I'm all for cupcakes now :-)

But the most important thing of all is having my family and friends with me to help celebrate another year of being older.

Best Book Boyfriends of 2013

Top 10 of 2013 Banner

Time for the Best Book Boyfriends Nominees, here are my few Best Nominees

TOD HUDSON (Soul Screamers)

With All My Soul (Soul Screamers, #7)
Always never took anything for granted,

He became the Knight in shining Armor for Kaylee

He would do anything for the one he cared and loves the most

Tod has never been selfish

Speaks from the bottom of his heart

"I don't care if it takes forever, Kaylee" he said, and warmth trailed down my spine to settle in a dozen pleasant places.
"The universe owes us forever. And our eternity starts now."

BARROW HESS (Prequel Nightshade)

Rise (Nightshade Prequel, #2)
Strong, Reserved and Loyal,

While he may seem stern most times,

Deny his heart until he couldn't deny it anymore

He will follow the strength of Ember for he could not find his own

“I love you,” Ember whispered. No words she’f spoken had ever felt so important or so frightening.

“I have loved no one but you." Barrow looked at Ember, and she saw that his deep gray eyes were the color of the sea upon which they now sailed.

“Kiss me, Ember.”

DRAKE WILDER (Seattle Wolf Pack)

Gone with the Wolf (Seattle Wolf Pack, #1)
Successful business man and respectful Alpha of the Seattle Wolf Pack

May seem tough on the outside but on the inside, he's sweet and loving

Drake treats women with respect and he treats Emelia like she's a priceless diamond and his equal half.

When her eyes met Drake's again, he was kneeling in front of her. The sight almost buckled her. "I know it's not something you would normally wear," he said, "but I couldn't taken my eyes off of it, just like I couldn't take my eyes off of you the first time we met. From the first moment I met you, I've been completely, insanely captivated by your radiance."

RYAN STONE (Dare You To)

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)
The typical jock that has it all, the perfect family, the perfect game and all the wins he could ever want.

A dare changes all of that when he first meet Beth and soon everything he thought he ever wanted soon didn't matter.

Ryan help himself and Beth in more ways than one and Beth has fallen deeply in love with him.

"It's our rain, Beth." Her head barely shakes to show her confusion while I rub the back of my neck and search for my courage.
"I told you I loved you in this ain and when you doubt my words, I want you to look at this bottle."
Beth's forehead wrinkles and she stares at the gift I've given her.
"I don't . . ." she starts. "I don't have anything to give you."

Daemon Black (LUX #4)

Origin (Lux, #4)
He will burn the world down . . .

Willing to give up everything he was sworn to protect, his family, his own people but he rather leave all that behind just to save the one that matters most . . . Katy

He rather take all the pain away from Katy before she felt anymore pain again.

Best Couples of 2013

 Top 10 of 2013 Banner

Wow this is a really hard post for me since some couples only made a huge impact on me an others were "I need more to grow on". I'm not trying to leave any books behind but there were some books that the characters that weren't emitting chemistry right off the bat (yet).

Top 2013 Best Couples

Soul Screamers ~ Kaylee and Tod
Now in the beginning of the series Kaylee was with Nash, Tod's youngest brother and for the first three books they were really hitting it off until addiction came along. Then in My Soul to Steal there was Sabine, Nash's EX showing up and that caused more tension between Kaylee and Nash but Tod gives Kaylee an eye opener in MSTSteal that made her really think about her relationship with Nash. But then when the twist in If I DIE occurs, the one person who was willing to do anything to make sure that Kaylee would not die in horror . . . Yes I'm talking about Tod.
In IID Tod finally opens up about his feeling for Kaylee. The most heart (well two) heart-wrenching moments in IID was when Tod believes that he doesn't deserve Kaylee and shouldn't feel the way he does and the other moment was the most painstaking part of IID, was Kaylee's death. Tod became her knight in shining armor.
BUT Kaylee is survived in a sense and Tod is there to help her transition this new her but Kaylee was left with the things that happen in IID that she wished ended better. Tod and Kaylee will spend their  eternal lives together. With All My Soul, Kaylee makes some greater sacrifice and when it was time Tod came back swooping in as her knight in shining armor.
Now this is a lot but Kaylee and Tod shows that nothing will ever defeat their eternal love even if hell did rise and show it's ugly face.
They will protect the ones they love.

Pushing the Limits ~ Rachel and Isaiah
The good girl and bad boy concept, we all know them and either have a love or hate for them but you can't hate Rachel and Isaiah story. Rachel has the perfect ideal life, but Rachel been living under a ghost's shadow, the only time she's ever herself is around cars.
Isaiah lives on the edge and under radar until he is of age and out of the system. During a night of wrong time, wrong places Rachel finds herself in unfamiliar territory and Isaiah happens to be there and he saw a angel in trouble.
The chemistry that Isaiah and Rachel has was like a fire being ignited, they share the common interests and have their love for cars. However both Rachel and Isaiah turn to each other when reality becomes tough. These two really show what falling in love is about, sometimes being at the wrong place wrong time might bring you one step closer to someone you just met and has instant connection.
Also opposites do attract.

Prequel Nightshade ~ Ember and Barrow
Honestly I was jumping all over the place during RIFT when Ember and Barrow first appears, Barrow seems stand-off however when Barrow becomes Ember's trainer you could tell there is chemistry right off the bat.
Although Ember didn't expect to fall in love with someone but she also dealt with a friend who want to be much more than friends. When there are enemies close by, and evil lurking who can you trust? Ember lies her trust with Barrow because he had guided her and gives her the confident that she didn't think she has.
But Barrow also trust Ember, not as another warrior but someone with his heart for the first time ever and he can't imagine surviving these dark times without Ember.
They will fight to the end!

Lux Series ~ Katy and Daemon
The journey Katy and Daemon has really brought them together although Daemon at first did everything he could to keep Katy away from his family but that didn't really work. During the first two books, Katy and Daemon could barely stand each other but with some of the discovery about alien mutation with a human that changes some things between them but still at it with each other.
Then OPAL happens, they finally came to swallow their pride and admit that they really like each other. But they only just begun being together as a couple before the two are separate.
Daemon's desires and fears all centers Katy and now he must do everything and anything to protect her because he loves her.

Gone with the Wolf ~ Drake and Emelia
Drake Wilder has given up on searching for his luminary but sometimes fates works in mysterious ways. When he meet Emelia, he is taken aback of her spitfire personality and is determine to find out more about her.
Emelia didn't know at the time that the guy she was planning on seducing to save her bar was Drake, she starts to wonder if Drake is all that. Emelia begins facing unusual things starting with an extremely strong biker who nearly chokes her to death and Drake comes to her rescue. however things that revolves around Drake doesn't add up until Emelia meets Drake's twin brother Silas.
Drake had no choice when Silas attack Emelia and has to complete her transition. Nothing will ever be the same for Emelia but her life is just starting with Drake at her side making her the most powerful female of Drake's Seattle Pack.

Shatter Me ~  Juliette and Adam
Juliette never thought that she could ever be touched by anyone for life but when Adam comes along and during their time together. He's is Juliette's Savior. The bird that Juliette dream that would come and set her free. But also he could touch her without being hurt or killed, and that was new with Juliette that she thrives his touches.
Adam shares his devotion and his mission in protecting the ones that are important to him. He care about those that needs help and he gives a sense of hope.
Although Juliette and Adam are in a dangerous time and place they can only rely on each other to get out of deep messes that they might have been dragged into.

Oath Bound ~ Kris and Sera
Kris has always put others before himself, he's unselfish and uses his skills well. When his youngest sister is taken away again Kris has the mean to break into the Tower's syndicate and save his sister but when he is face with two of the tower's member along with guards, he see one girl with a yellow scarf.
Sera lost everything she's ever love, and now she resort to going to her biological father's family to get a favor however she hides one single most important detail from everyone around her.
Kris goes back to a journal that his old flame had predict and he make notes however he had a difficult time deciphering them but when that Yellow Scraf appears Kris takes the girl and figure out what it was he was suppose to prevent.
Both Kris and Sera are strong-willed but fragile too, with Kris chasing a ghost and Sera chasing a killer together they can both help but Kris has to let go of the past and move on to what's in front of him and Sera can finally trust someone.

Best Read of 2013

 Top 10 of 2013 Banner

Its that time again! Lisa from A Life Bound By Books, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, Jaime from Two Chicks on Books and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads

It seems like it been forever since 2013 came around and now we're nearing the ending, I've had some ups and downs in the early beginning of 2013. But getting through that ups and downs were family, friends and of course my books.

I hate singling out books because most of them were great, some of them were new and some were the final conclusion *Weep*. So without further delay here's are some of my Top 10 Best Read of 2013.

1. Gone with the Wolf by Kristin Miller
Gone with the Wolf (Seattle Wolf Pack, #1)

How I came across this book, I have no idea I think I sign up for an early read/ review but when I started reading it I was HOOKED. Werewolves, Alphas, Luminary and Burning romance are all key components in Gone with the Wolf. Kristin's writing style blew me away and how she created Drake the Alpha Werewolf who given up on the hunt for his Luminary but when Emelia Hudson comes along, she blows him away with her personality.

2. With All My Soul by Rachel Vincent
With All My Soul (Soul Screamers, #7)

I can't believe that With All My Soul is the final book of Rachel's Soul Screamers series, I grew up with this series, I cried over this series and I swoon over a few guys. Now I'm going to correct myself for a sec, Rachel's final Omnibus book will contains an new Short story told in two POV by Tod and Nash. So I'm excited and eager for this final omnibus to come out.  Kaylee and her gang probably went through a lot more than normal teenagers do and there were a lot of sacrifices, one was huge in WAMS!!!

3. A Risk Worth Taking by Heather Hildebrand
A Risk Worth Taking

This is a New Adult book where sometimes taking a risk will change everything. I've never thought that risking something you love over your dream would be so powerful and so heart warming, between Ford and Summer those two took a risk and in the end it was worth it. Heather really took a summer love to heart and in reality sometimes you have to give up one thing to get another thing.

4. Origin by Jennifer L Armentrout
Origin (Lux, #4)

Now come on we all been waiting for Origin, and I just been on the Lux bandwagon during the summer, reading all of the first three then waited for Origin. This was filled with awe-dropping and shocking moments that I thought it couldn't get even more crazier but it did and I can't wait to see how Jen will end the series with Oppression.

5. Opal by Jennifer L Armentrout
Opal (Lux, #3)

Yes I know I've already have Origin up but I really really love Opal, there was so much going on that I couldn't take myself out of the book. Everything that you thought could go wrong did go wrong and there were some great costs but n the end Katy and Dameon pulled through or so they thought. The epic heart-wrenching ending will leave you breathless.

6. Steel Lily by Megan Curd
Steel Lily (The Periodic Series, #1)

Megan is a dear friend of mine and when I heard about her new book Steel Lily I thought I had to have this book. Good thing this is fiction, cause I don't think the world could handle a World War three but in Megan's book WWIII did happen. I can't wait for the next book Iron Pendulum.

7. Rise by Andrea Cremer
Rise (Nightshade Prequel, #2)

HUGE HUGE FAN of Andrea's Nightshade world we're back with Ember and Barrow along with the guardians and witches. Rise goes deeper about the Keepers and i must say I was shock behind the mastermind but I love love Ember and Barrow intense Romance. Now I'm just eager waiting to hear what the next book is of the prequel but I understand that Andrea is expanding her Nightshade world so I'll just have to wait . . . as Patiently as I can.

8. Dare You To by Katie McGarry

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)

Again Huge fan of Katie's Pushing the Limits series, this time we go deeper into Beth's imperfect life and always have blame how her nonfunctional family was to blame. But Beth meets Ryan through his own dare but it became more than just a dare to him. Ryan wanted to uncover the real Beth hiding under her black hair, her tough skin and her foul words. Passion grows deeper than Beth ever thought she feels. I love DYT to the MAX and Crash Into You was just as good.

9. Oath Bound by Rachel Vincent
Oath Bound (Unbound, #3)

Have I mention I'm a huge Rachel Vincent's Fan? Well I am and the Unbound trilogy, Oath Bound is the final book and I was blown away by Rachel's twist rather than how the first two books were about skilled people under contract with dangerous leaders but Oath Bound introduce Kris Daniels and who will stop at nothing to protect his sister even if it meant taking someone who's consider a high priority even when some don't know. Sera has an tragic past and now is seeking a favor from her blood family to hunt down the monster that took everything from her.

10. Ten by Gretchen McNeil

Ten

I don't typically read horror book themes but TEN was fantastic! It that typical cliche where teenagers are on an resort island with no body but each other but then those people starts ending up dead. It was up to Meg to figure out who is behind the killing and why that person was taking out on everyone that was on the Island.

The Cat's Meow

The Cat's Meow is the newly version of Bloggers Time, so I'm giving you some updates

Today I got a very special surprise in the mail, I mean I was in awe that there were no words.
I got my very first ARC from the Publisher, I am part of Victoria Scott's Walker family list and blogger list but I was in total darkness of what that could mean for me and now I know, you can receive ARCs and other goodies :-)

Victoria Scott's upcoming book Fire and Blood been one of the thing buzzing for Victoria and I've follow closely on the buzzing news. I couldn't wait to Fire and Blood to come out but never in a million year, I thought I would get an ARC. This will be a milestone for me as a blogger.

Now you're thinking "well I read books from Netgallery or Edelweiss isn't that consider ARC?" In a way yes but I'm more of the printed books than ebooks but I do read ebook that I've requested from Netgallery and Edelweiss.

I can't wait to read FIRE AND BLOOD!!!

Another note, I do have another ARC book that I won from Jennifer's Armentrout's giveaway and that was WHITE HOT KISS. I haven't started reading it yet but between now and beginning of the New Year I will. Also she signed it!

I did get an author request back in early November but because I was in the middle of school that I couldn't read as much I would like to. I told her that I'll get around to it when I'm all done with my semester classes, Now I am done with school and I'll work hard on reading her book and get ready to write reviews and reviews that I'm behind on.

Between now and the end of the month I'll work hard on getting everything done that I've left behind and be ready to start the new year.

Book Review: Children of the Mist

The Children of the Mist by

The Children of the MistAn original paranormal YA about an unconventional girl, an unconventional boy, their extraordinary transformations, and the secrets of the Scottish Highlands.

When skater girl Morven Smith turns sixteen, she develops boobs, acute appendicitis...and a pair of pointy teeth. While she is stunned by her metamorphosis into vampire, her best mate, the enigmatic Zest, is not. For the young werewolf, Morven’s transformation is an answer to his lonely prayers.

But they are unable to celebrate their mutual paranormalcy for long — there are too many dangers, too much suspicion, and too many questions. It’s only in Scotland that Morven can learn the truth about her past. But she discovers more than she bargained for when she meets her birth family — an ancient feud between vampires and werewolves. They may both be Children of the Mist, but only one species can survive.

ebook

Published October 2013 by Escape Publishing

First off I discover this book through the Harlequin Australian Teen Facebook page, the cover and the description of this book was sounded like an interested read. However two of my downfalls, one I REALLY prefers prints over ebook and second I went to Netgallery to search the book and saw that it was an Aussie ebook(I'm US) so I for sure thought I would be decline because of where I live.

Review
Skater girl Morven and skater guy Zest have been best friends forever, sharing thier mutual love of skating and living on the edge. They thought being teenagers would be the only thing they have to worry about but when Morven enters through some usual changes.

Soon Zest comes to realizes Morven's usual changes are something that he's has an understanding of and knew that Morven need to understand what she'll really become.

However Zest has his own changes as well and for years he's never been able to tell anyone but now he trusts Morven with his secret and Zest will keeps hers.

Morven's new changes lies with hidden secrets, secrets she will have to travel to her homeland to figure out who she is and the feuding between the supernaturals and families names will be the first thing she'll learn.

I give this book 3 Cat's Tails up, it was ordinary for sure along with the feuding families concept but I still wanted more! I'm intrigue of Jenny's idea but I still wish there was more in the first book where things starts spilling out.

Meow . . . Meow . . . Meow
First off sorry that this is such a late review, but I've been extremely busy with school but I'm taking the time now to write it.
Overall this book wasn't too bad, the concept was ordinary by itself and the concepts of  having two feuding families as well the supernaturals of the night.

Morven is a vampire and her best friend Zest is a werewolf, they both are what they call Children of the Mist. Now as far Zest knowing about his family history is clear but Morven is kept in the dark.
So now she is on her own mission to find out about who she really is and what she is, although the warm welcoming from her family in Scotland was admirable but when Morven spends more time with her relative the more things don't add up.

When an urgent phone call from Morven, Zest flies to Scotland to her rescue only to find out that his own family name is a big enemy to Morven's family. He now sees the danger Morven in and goes to her rescue, while at the same time Meg MacGregor helps out as well.

I like Megan's Spunk! I really can't wait to read more of her, because she is more aware of the feud and can shed light to Morven and Zest about the deep dark secretive past. Also in the email to Jenny, she was writing Megan's story how much or how far she's into writing Megan's book I'm not sure.

The back story between the Campbells and the MacGregors, lingers in my thought because the author spent a part of the book seeding the family feud. I did send a email to her regarding about the two families and she did indicated that she'll explore the family history deeper and bring the back story to life, where did it all go wrong between the two families and species.

Christmas Traditions:

I'm here to share some of my Christmas Traditions, starting with Christmas Books

The Night Before Christmas

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Rudolph the red nose reindeer

Christmas Movies

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

The Muppets Christmas Carol

The Santa Clause 1, 2 and 3

Christmas Albums

A Very Special Christmas

Trans-Siberian orchestra

Christmas Treats
Now don't be fooled, I don't bake Christmas treats but my mom does so I'm going to list off some of her top to do list of baking, starting with my favorite treat

Coconuts Balls or Mound Balls however people name them,

Big family treat is Rossetts a flaky and popular Scandinavian treat that is baked for the holidays.

Snicker doodles cookie

Peanut butter cookies and peanut butter balls, those goes quick!

Christmas Wreath which is basically marshmallow and corn flake with green color dye

How can we forget Sugar cookies?

What's on our tree?

You would think tinsel, ribbons, bows, beads, ornaments and a star right? Well since I'm in charge of the decoration of the tree, I gain about 10 ornaments a year and every year they all go up on the tree.
But they are not the ordinary ornament balls, our tree gets characterizes by Disney, pixar, barbies, Kittens, and everything else that I can't name off.

The barbie ornaments is something that been a huge tradition for me as a kid barbies were my thing and my parents saw it perfect for me to get ornaments. So I have a collection Holiday series set while I may be missing some of the years, they are not missing on the tree.

I guess you could say I found those round balls boring when you get characters to put up and remember part of the movie they're from or just memories.

We don't use a star and I don't know where the star became a part of a tree topper because in my opinion an Angel is more suiting. My parents have had our angel for as long as I can remember and every time we bring her out they say you can't find anything like her anymore. So hopefully it will get pass down to me :-)

We do put beads and bows up sometimes but due to the number of ornaments I have that we eliminate them because the tree can only hold so much.

What's under the tree?
Well we don't really put anything under the tree as far decorative items but we do put a tree skirt on and some of the Christmas plush toys that we have. For awhile we have always put our White Bears under the tree but we're displaying them much better out from under the tree.

My dad and I get my mom a White bear with a year stamp on its foot every year or at least we try,. this year she wanted a moose! WHAT??? The moose is cute and has a year stamp but its not the same by any means.

So by any means we as a family celebrates a lot during the Christmas holidays, and If you don't know but I'm sharing this now. . . . My birthday is the 28th of December!!!! Just a shy short a day to share with my great-great grandmother whose awesome :-) and she'll be 96 this year.  I have cousins and aunts whose birthdays are in December so usually on Christmas day we head out to the lake where one of my mom's sister(my aunt) lives and we have Christmas lunch.dinner.

I hope you all have a wonder Christmas and stay safe out in the snow and keep warm :-)

(PS this is last year Christmas)
